"This is an older hotel and you can notice in areas where it’s a little tired. However the rooms were clean and comfortable. Could do with some more lights in the rooms especially where the kettle area is. My other slight issues is that you have to go down several sets of stairs to get to your room. Being disabled this was an issue. There were devices to move you from one floor to another other but seemed quite a lot of work for 6 steps. Also not good if you’ve got big heavy suitcases. Pool area was good although could have done with somewhere to hang your towel in the showers. Some more info about the pool area would be good, so don’t forget a £1 coin if you want to use a locker. Didn’t use the bar or restaurant but looked clean, bright and modern although £18 for a burger is a bit steep. Overall a great hotel though. Just remember the steps. Would stay again."

"Best spa set up I've ever been to. Head space and physical space yo 'breathe'. After long days out in Buxton and stoke on trent etc. It was beautiful to come back here. Breakfast was nothing special, same as any hotel. Why are all hashbrowns cold, deep fried triangles. Great location for park district or Manchester or other town visit. If you like to take bus/ land transit to do local areas DONT do it here. Local transit is very infrequent and we waited at stop and despite flashing down the once or hour bus, it flew part us anyway. Because of this we did not look/ explore in Macclesfield so missed the silk factory stuff for to the fact that there was not good transport locally. Bus to Buxton was great fun and best way to get there and back. Beautiful scenery fat driver... but if a free roller coaster ride... hold on tight! Safe and overall great place to stay."

"The staff absolutely make this hotel, they are so lovely. Friendly and welcoming when you arrive, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Reception, young lady, professional, courteous and a positive attitude. The kitchen and waiting staff are very pleasant and accommodating with our dietary allergy. I think there have been some upgrades to the decor since we last stayed and it’s a nice welcoming place to stay. We will stay again. Thank you to all the staff."
