Very comfortable stay - everything we needed in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Sofa was comfy. Brilliant - only sad thing - it rained most of the weekend but at least had a nice TV to watch and could access Netflix. Only moan and its really petty - there was no hairdryer - never stayed anywhere ...
Great experience, and Dawn has been an excellent hostess. Thank You!!
We really enjoyed our stay in this 3 bedroom house in Bournemouth. The condition was excellent and the house was tastefully decorated. The conservatory and garden are very nice as well. It was also nice being at the end of a cul-de-sac. One neighbor was friendly and spoke every morning and we did ...
Lovely stay, bed was very comfy. Staff were very friendly. Lots of space in the room. Only faults were no kettle and the bathroom light didn't work.
Breakfast included and was very tasty Amazing shower Very clean One girl on reception was helpful but has a bit of attitude
Room where really clean, but it was our wedding day and they didn’t offer any upgrades or extras that we could have or buy so but that’s the only things disappointing
Bournemouth University acts as home to over 18,000 students and around 2,000 staff. Despite being officially recognised as a university in 1992, the institution has existed in one form another since the 1900s, when it began life as the Bournemouth Municipal College. Today, it is a major player in the world of media studies and is the headquarters for the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice. There is plenty of accommodation nearby, so whether you're simply dropping a student off to begin their course or are enjoying an extended stay, you can choose from everything from budget hotels and guesthouses, to sleek, chic and contemporary establishments.
While the Bournemouth University doesn't quite qualify as an 'attraction' in the literal sense, people do flock to it each year just to explore the impressive grounds. The university is set in a particularly-presentable part of the town, with an array of places to eat. Being a student town, you'll find cheap diners and noodle bars in abundance, but there are also some good restaurants serving food from all parts of the globe. However, it's worth remembering that many hotels near Bournemouth University, such as the Hallmark Hotel Bournemouth West Cliff, have their own restaurants. If you don't fancy pacing the streets trying to decide what's for dinner, a hotel with an on-site restaurant allows you to dine in comfort, before retiring to your room.
Even though the university is one the west side of Bournemouth, there are plenty of attractions in the area. The beautiful beach is just five minutes' walk away, where you'll find other places of interest such as Boscombe Pier and the Oceanarium. For those who fancy a spot of retail therapy, the Castlepoint Shopping Park is just a short drive away, offering an eye-watering selection of shops and stores, as well as a variety of restaurants. An easy way to spend a day and max out your credit card, it's ideal for visitors of all ages.
Whether you're delivering a soon-to-be student to the university doors or want to spend an extended stay in one of the more cosmopolitan parts of town, there are hotels near Bournemouth University to suit all tastes and budgets.
