"Rachael and Rory were perfect hosts and were always there to assist us. The icing on the cake was a delicious Yorkshire Brack cake waiting for us on our arrival and to top it all Rachael made us a cake half way through our visit. The accommodation was excellent. "It was a lovely little cottage, had everything we could need. Staff were also very helpful. very comfortable place. We enjoyed our stay very much. However the mattresses were a bit hard but that made little difference. We still slept well 😊 would recommend! "

"We went for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Also a surprise of other family members oo which were kept secret. The staff were brilliant and so helpful and thoughtful. "A nice place in a great location just a 5 minute walk from Grosmont Station. Its not a modern hotel, and rooms are not soundproofed so you can expect to overhear other guests coming and going. The showers are difficult to set to the right heat and are affected by other people using water. A bit of modernisation would help. Decor in room dated and could do with refreshing but otherwise, a nice friendly place to spend a few nights. "

"Very welcoming- a lovely pleasant room. The bed was comfortable. We brought our own double sheet as we knew there would be a winter duvet in a heat wave!! The view from the window over the garden and Bagdale was good. We could have done with more loo roll and there was no coffee machine, but we would definitely stay there again."

"Arrived later in the evening, welcome pack was ready for us. Room was small but had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. Nice view from seating area in room and in a great location for exploring Whitby. Parking was made easy with a permit which cost £5 for the weekend. We left the car at the hotel for the weekend and walked everywhere. Would recommend this guest house, we had no problems at all during our stay. "

"A great value for money stay. My private ensuite room basic but functional as simply needing somewhere to sleep. Hand soap provided in room but no towels. The property does have self catering kitchens, a tv room, lounge (with board games) and conservatory. The adjoining cafe (which is open to the public) serves full breakfasts from 7.30am and closes as 8.30pm. Despite signage requesting quiet between 11pm and 7am, I was subjected to raised voices from a nearby room well beyond 2am. Nobody present at checkout so a simple key drop box was provided."
