Great cottage!!
Just returned home from a great few days staying at Penrith House!! Pictures probably don’t do the house justice! Downstairs is a lovely living room with 2 good sized leather sofas, TV, board games and electric fire. kitchen has everything you need and has plenty of baking trays, pans etc (the amount of times we’ve stayed at self catering places and turn up on the first night wanting to cook something and not have any baking trays etc!!!). First floor has an amazing modern bathroom and big bedroom then a twin and big bedroom on the top room, we had the top bedroom which had loads of space for travel cot and all our bags! Location is perfect with shops & cafes just at the end of the road & the parking permits are great with parking just at the top of the hill, 5mins walk away! Literally the only downside to the house is the size of the dining table, was a squeeze with 4 adults and 2 kids but we managed!! Would happily (and probably will) return!

Perfect Location for a Great Whitby Stay
I can highly recommend this lovely house for a long weekend or longer break. Pet friendly and in a superb location close to everything! An old property with heaps of character, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would love to come back one day.

Lovely cottage
Ideally located on a nice quiet road but just a minutes from the town harbour. Good views of the abbey from all front windows. Great communication from Paul and Hilda. The cottage is nice (could be lovely with some much needed TLC). The kitchen is small but all other rooms are a generous size in particular the bathroom which is huge! Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning to Whitby one day

Whitby weekend
Communication with hosts excellent … snacks and milk in fridge nice touch … very clean … great central position .. I can imagine parking a nightmare in peak season but welcomed the free passes … just one complaint could have left heating on for longer as was very chilly at certain times of the day …

Lovely warm property in very central location
This delightful property with two spacious doubles and a twin bedroom is ideally located just a two minitw walk from the main Whitby hub. It is well equipped (also with high chair, travel cot and baby bath) with several very nice pieces of furniture and a truly beautiful bathroom. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family
