"Nice quiet place to stay for a short break. The hot tub with the lodge is a great added bonus "
"Just had a lovely two night break at Raithwaite Sandsend. Lovely grounds, very friendly staff, excellent room in The Hide, quality breakfast - there was a cigarette stub on one of the walkways dropped by an ignorant guest - otherwise absolutely perfect !!"

"Absolutely loved our stay at The Fox and Hounds Inn. The area is so pretty and peaceful with beautiful views. The accommodation is about a 15 minute walk from the train station and is mostly uphill so take some walking boots.
The staff were all so helpful and friendly, as were the locals (and the dogs) in the bar.
Our room was spotless and we received clean towels in the morning even though we were only staying 2 nights. Our room was on ground level however it was at the back of the building so up and down a lot of stairs which wouldn’t be suitable for disabled access as there isn’t a closer/back entrance (as far as I’m aware)
The restaurant was very popular and got quite busy on both nights of our stay, however the service was still spot on. Would recommend booking a table for evening meals. The food was also very nice, although some of the dishes (starters and some of the main dishes) were more on the expensive side for the serving size, however, we still really enjoyed everything and would definitely recommend.
Overall, a lovely place to stay and it’s on our list to visit again"
"We had an absolutely gorgeous suite. The breakfast was fabulous, with top notch service in a lovely dining area. There was on site parking and we were close to many other restaurants and activities. We will definitely return. "
