"This is a very traditonal hotel in the best sense of that word. The rooms are spacious and we had one with a great view towards Robin Hoods Bay. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good."

"Lovely friendly welcome and very attentive. Rooms are in the middle of being decorated however that doesn't detract from the comfort or amazing views. Good location for the train station 🙂 Liked the pack in the room with the story of Beggar's Bridge, we had a walk down to it after a delicious breakfast and ended up carrying along through the woods. "Lovely stay as always. Room is a good size, clean, comfortable and plenty of tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was good and enjoyed the local kippers. Food in the evening was lovely and chips best we've tasted and a good atmosphere in the bar in the evening. Handy for so many beautiful places in the area both coastal and inland and of course the gorgeous Staithes where the accommodation is situated which has amazing walks."
