"The Royal hotel Whitby, I go every month to this hotel, The location is the best in Whitby amazing sea views , All the staff are friendly, My room is always nice and cosy and clean, I love going to the Royal ,"

"Lovely hotel and staff were first class. I would rate a 5*, but for two things: -No air conditioning in the bedrooms in the main hotel. I believe this is planned at some stage. - we had the snug room on the top floor. Lovely room and big bathroom. But it had 4 velux windows and so no view. Not a major problem as we only stayed for a short 2 night break. However the real problem was at night, when heavy rain made us feel we were in a drum. So sleep deprived both nights. It is worth paying a bit more for a room on the first or second floors. Martin Hill"
The Stables Whitby

"Lovely stay at the stables, welcoming friendly staff, the breakfast and evening meal during our stay was really good. Bar prices aren’t the cheapest but similar to what we paid in Whitby. Location is across the road from the park and ride into whitby that takes about 5/10 mins on the bus."

"We’ve been going to the Mallyan Spout for 48 years and seen many transitions, but basically it stays the same. Keep the friendly Yorkshire customer care at the top of your agenda! This keeps it special."

The Whalebone Arch

"Emma and Dave were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble . It was so good having a kettle and a fridge in the apartment. A microwave would have been good, but I am not sure where it would have gone. Parking was easy as there was permit parking on the road, and permits were available on request. The Whalebone Arch is just a 5 minutes walk to the front, and there's loads of things to do, including an open top tour bus running throughout the day. Plenty of places to eat and drink. All in all a very good holiday.."

"There were many steps to climb but our room(11) was clean with a comfy bed and a good shower room. The owners were helpful. Good view of the Abbey lit up at night. Id go again but not on the Regatta weekend too many drunks shouting in the street."
