"We stayed in Buttercup cottage and it was absolutely lovely. It was much larger than we expected and was well stocked with everything we needed. It was also very well maintained and the biscuits, cake and milk were a nice welcoming touch. It was perfect for our stay, it’s tucked away in the country but only a short drive or walk to the nearest local shops / pubs. I was able to walk easily to the local convenience store in Castleton. It’s a great location for exploring the wider area whether you want to go further inland or to the beach - it’s easy for both options. Rachel and Rory were fantastic hosts, they were on hand to help with questions and had left really helpful information about the area ands things to see and do in the cottage. The parking was ample as well which was good for us as we were travelling with two vehicles. If we come back to the area I would definitely stay here again!"

"Absolutely gorgeous in every sense. The cottage is very warm and welcoming. We hade a great few days away. Cottage set in beautiful countryside, very peaceful and relaxing whilst being near to attractions of the East coast. Lovely welcoming gifts off Prosecco, baileys eggs etc. Would definitely recommend this cottage. We hope to return soon."

"The farm was spot on for our family, especially our three energetic boys - climbing hills, riding bikes, toasting marshmallows on the fire, visiting the cows. It was all great. and Deni and Joe and their family were incredibly welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here. "

"Lovely cottage with everything you need for a break away. Perfect location as you feel isolated but can be in places like Whitby or Pickering in under 20 minutes. Can't wait to come again."

"Lovely cottage with good facilities. We stayed for 4 nights in this small but well equipped cottage. Plus side, the bedrooms were furnished to a high standard same with the bathroom and kitchen. The main living area was very comfortable with a real fire that was great for the evenings . A couple of minor points were that there wasn’t anywhere to hang you coats and the main table that was folded couldn’t be used as some of the feet were missing. So board games were played on the floor. But didn’t spoil the fun.. location is excellent for all the main visiting sites.. Parking is hit and miss and if you have large car the lane is very narrow for parking.. A few nights we had to park a short distance away in another street. Overall though we enjoyed our stay"
