"We have just arrived back home from the most amazing stay at St Hilda's. We stayed in the Cairo room and the pictures do not do it justice it was just beautiful, the attention to detail is amazing. The bed was extremly comfy, we had such a lovely restful nights sleep. The room was absolutely spotless as well and has a really detailed information booklet with places to eat and drink, taxis and takeaways in it which was really handy. The lady that check us in was so friendly and made us feel really comfortable and was more than happy to answer any of our questions. The continental breakfast was really good, there were so many options to choose from and you can fill a tray and take it up to your room if you wanted to as well. We will definitely be back! Thanks for such an amazing nights getaway"
"I am a regular at the Captain Cook Inn. It has an unique ambience which refects Staithes village itself. Bed extremely comfortable but the duvet was a higher tog than the heatwave needed."
"Cameron (owner) was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the local area, he also prepared a great breakfast.
Our room was on the top floor, a comfortable and decent size room and large bathroom, it also had sea views across the harbour
Our visit was for a birthday celebration, we were given a card and a bottle of Prosecco in our room which was a nice touch and much appreciated.
We would definitely recommend it as a place to stay in Staithes, a good base for visiting the surrounding areas."

"An idyllic village setting, the kids couldn’t have been happier with the distance to the harbour where they spent most of their time rock pooling and messing about in the sea. The dogs were also big fans of the fact that the property was only a stones throw away from the beach. It was a bit of a hike up the hill to park the car every day but we were made aware of that before we booked so knew what we were letting ourselves in for! A few issues with cleanliness when we first arrived (had to wash a few things up out of the cupboard, floors were not the cleanest and the top floor shower was blocked!) but overall an excellent place to holiday and would not think twice about staying here again! "

"Very quaint cottage in a prime location. Slight issue with access as my husbands wheelchair was too wide to get into wet room but Jon and Shona with the help of their friend Phill came to the rescue. They went above and beyond to help and were excellent hosts, thank you . It would not put us off returning. "
