"This was a night away for my wife and I. We thought the facilities and room were perfect for us. The hotel was in good repair but retained its period charm. The staff could not have been more helpful. Service in the restaurant was very attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. The quality of the food served up in the evening didn't quite live up to the high quality of the rest of our stay, but it was perfectly pleasant."

"Lovely 1 night stay. Simple yet comfortable room. Slightly disappointed with the spa, very over crowded, very small pool area. All other amenities such as hot tub, steam room and sauna also very small and always full so we didn’t get great use of this unfortunately. The best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had! Portion sizes were absolutely huge so could barely manage half of the meat accompaniments but food was great. Breakfast was lovely. Reception and bar staff really lovely. "

"It was serene, quiet and secluded. Loved the historical component to the property (owned by the BBC and used during WWII). The breakfast was excellent BTW. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional. "
