"The hotel doesn’t look very appealing from the outside but indoor decor is lovely, reception area/bar was nice, the bedrooms were good, hand-wash smelt delightful and they had shower gels/shampoo, the room was clean (but don’t forget to hoover under the beds! Some dust and stray hairs) really convenient location, 5mins walk from Symphony hall for graduation ceremony and 4minute tram into town if you’re too lazy to walk. Annoying that you couldn’t do multiple entries in the parking, meaning i had to pay 3 times."

"Great location for exploring all of the centre of Birmingham (and handy for the commonwealth games). Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the bar had a great vibe. Would definitely stay here again. "

"We stayed at the hotel for a night while attending the Commonwealth Games. We parked at the hotel in the underground car park, it was £16 for the stay. There are a number of NCP car parks near by but this felt much more secure. Reception were really friendly and kind on each occasion we spoke to them and very helpful when answering our questions. Many attractions and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel, though Birmingham has some steep areas so be prepared for some uphill moments! We had a Penta Plus room and bed was good size and clean. Shower was nice and powerful. Air conditioning worked to which I find very hit and miss in most hotels. Some may find a bit noisy on highest setting but I usually sleep with white noise so this made me feel at home. Was only In Birmingham for a night but I look forward to returning and would stay here again. "
