"Overall the hotel is good. But, unfortunately our room wasn't. The extractor fan in the bathroom would not switch off! It ran all night and therefore, we had an extremely disturbed nights sleep. We did ring reception at 10.30pm to ask about this problem and they told us it would switch off at midnight.....sadly for us it didn't!! The hotel is clean and well presented in a great location. "As for the hotel and location it’s great spot ! For sleeping to hot , Train noise and pillows lumpy not nice at all . One receptionist a bad attitude on arrival it was 2pm with the word WHAT . I said we would like to book in answer ! NOT TILL 3PM . Shoot me down ! "

"A nice hotel, but I was disappointed with my last day. I stayed for 5 nights and asked for a late checkout on the final day, only to be told checkout latest was 11am and every hour after would be a charge of £30. This seems a little extortionate and as a frequent traveller and user of this hotel many time before, a little user unfriendly. I understand they have to clean the rooms and make ready for other people, but surely there is a more customer friendly way of dealing with this. "

"Attended a wedding celebration. All was good apart from breakfast. Waited as instructed for staff to welcome a seat you, nobody came so sat ourselves down. Breakfast advertised 6:30 to 9:30 we went for 9:05. Finished my cooking breakfast and went to toast some bread but at 9:35 told the buffet was closed and so not allowed toast! Heaven help you if you arrived at 9:30 very unusual arrangement "

"Overall it was really good. It is worth noting this was my first trip away in a long time and was my first time staying in Newcastle and I suffer from anxiety/paranoia and overthinking, having said that I'm new to staying in hotels overall. On the whole staff were very professional, friendly and helpful with decent knowledge of the local area and places to go. "We booked this stay for our daughters birthday, all the staff were fantastic throughout our stay. The reception were great with our daughter, they noticed it was her birthday and gave her a nice jar of jelly beans. The room was clean and as expected, facility's were great especially the pool area. We had a buffet breakfast in the morning, the selection was plentiful and all the food was good quality and presented well. We will visit again."

"Perfect location. From our room we were lucky enough to have an amazing view of the Tyne Bridge. Presenter drinks on the outdoor terrace were lovely and a swim in the pool was a great start and end to a busy day sightseeing. Would highly recommend! "
