“Ideal location, we'll definitely be back!”

Ideal location, exactly what we wanted. Close to the Metro, Central Park, Times square etc. Staff very helpful and friendly couldn't ask for anything else for our city break!

“A well located hotel offering good value”

Just up from Times Square, just down from Central Park and 2 blocks east to 5th Avenue with a subway stop adjacent just about the perfect location.

“Excellent location and comfortable hotel”

Our three day stay in this hotel was excellent. Our room was a good size (we received a free upgrade on checking in), the staff were friendly and the location ideal for Times Square. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

“very well situated”

arrived early afternoon swift check in. unfortunatley room on small side asked for upgrade but only had smoking room which as a non smoker did smell a bit, told we could change the following day which we did at no extra cost. beds very comfy ajust what you need after a days touring and shopping. hotel close to times square and a diner or deli starbuck on every corner. would definatley use this hotel again. take a travel kettle with you for that morning tea/coffee at 3am when your still adjusting to the time difference.

“Brilliantly situated -------BUT.”

This hotel is brilliantly situated for Central Park,Times Square,Broadway,shops,restaurants etc,but it is in much need of upgrading.Doors and woodwork seem ancient and the bathroom cabinet was pretty delapidated,The bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze.Also the socket in the bathroom looked very old and could be a safety issue.However the room was clean with plenty of fresh towels.The room was warm and the bed comfortable.

“Great location - not so great rooms...”

Absolutely fabulous location, easy walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue etc. The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and willing to help, offering advice and directions. I really can't fault the service as it was great, as was the diner attached to the hotel (yummy breakfast pancakes!) The only real issue was the outdated room. Ours had a very lumpy mattress and a very dilapidated heater (which appeared to be falling off the wall). The bathroom was also very outdated, but an excellent power shower which was a plus. The cleanliness of the rooms was great, and clean towels were provided every day. With a little bit of work on the rooms, this could be an excellent hotel. I would recommend to others, purely for the location, but if you're looking for a modern hotel room this is not for you. My partner and I were not all that bothered, as we booked the hotel for the location anyway - after all, in a busy city like New York, you're only using your room to sleep and get changed because there's so many more interesting places to be!

“Great location”

Although the Wellington can be a little difficult to negotiate your way around, you can't beat the location. It's only a couple of blocks from Central Park and with a subway entrance at the (side) door, you can get anywhere in New York quickly. For example, it was just 2 subway stops to Times Square. With a kitchen in our room and a supermarket 2 blocks away, self-catering also was a way to save money. The staff were also very helpful in answering questions about attractions and how to get there. Great value for money, given the location.

“Would stay again”

The overall condition of the hotel was good. The staff was very friendly. Convenient location to all interests. The only complaint was the size of the room . Very small. Would recommend to others.

Like most NY hotels the room was small and not as clean as I would have liked. The location was good and staff was friendly. I liked that there was room service and a diner connected to hotel. Overall not bad and I would stay there again.
