"When I read the reviews for this hotel, I was a bit worried about what it would be like. While the room was expensive at $287 per night and fairly small, we are glad we stayed there. The Executive room has a king size bed, a bedside table, a desk (with 3 drawers that could be used for clothing), one rolling chair, and 2 small closets with 4 hangers in each. The bathroom is small but everything worked fine (it had a nice shower). The carpet could have used a cleaning and the AC unit was really struggling to keep the room cool on an 80 degree day, but the bed was clean and comfortable. I would have loved to have one more chair (even a folding chair) so that one of us didn't have to sit on the bed. The huge attraction of this hotel is that it is 1/2 block away from the west side of Central Park and one block away from the 72nd subway station. Walking across Central Park to go to the Art Museums was great (we walked miles every day) and walking to the American Museum of Natural History was around 10 minutes (the same with Lincoln Center in the other direction). Tons of restaurants surround this area and a grocery & a laundromat are 1/2 block away. Breakfast was fine - nothing fancy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 9 nights & really got to know the neighborhood (which is lovely). If you want a fancy hotel, this isn't it - but it was perfect for what we needed and the price wasn't insane (for Manhattan)."

"One of the most bad experiences I had ever The staff is rude and don’t care and don’t even check If they have aged or no or ketchup or no or even anything you ask for Everybody they are I say the other department go for it Very busy and all tourists come mid s hotel to enjoy in The pool desk was closed although given on the app and I thought that there is pool Even if it’s raining next day it was sunny why they don’t open it !! Or even let us sit on the chairs beside it And I didn’t see even coffe machine That was regret and room smaller than my restroom and view is terrible "

"No to both. We were given a voucher that only allowed us to get a coffee and one type of pastry, although they had many others available. It was like being on a welfare line. For a high end hotel charging five hundred dollars a night, that is unacceptable. When we made the reservation, they said you get a continental breakfast for free. What we got was far from that."

"The shower was unpredictable, no heat then no pressure mid shower with only drips coming out."

"This was my second stay here and sadly not as great. The first night the rooms heater was on during a heat wave and it was horribly uncomfortable. I checked with the front desk and they helped me get it adjusted. There was also a maintenance guy doing work with a drill late at night in the room which was odd. The people I shared my room with were incredibly noisy and would talk on speaker phone late into the night and super early in the morning. The room smelled, that being more on the occupants than the cleaners. The bathroom was pretty gross on a regular basis and the showers had almost no water pressure. The men’s room across from my room was closed so maybe it was from so many people using the one facility. The staff were great and the shared spaces elsewhere in the building were nice. I would stay here again, just maybe in a smaller capacity room."

"Fantastic spot! From Naomi at the front desk, to the clean and easy rooms, to the breakfast at Mille-Fuille, we loved our stay here. Would come back in a heartbeat. Great value and easy access to subway!"

"Arrived at 11:45pm. Small issue with my booking and the front desk attendant not only refused to hear me out but them denied me my booking. I was left to find a new hotel after midnight, a single woman, traveling alone. Fortunately, Management heard my complaint the next morning and offered a full refund. This hotel has been great for me in the past—great location and nice rooms. But unfortunately, I can’t book there again after this experience with one of their Staffers. Hope this is an isolated incident."
