Just arrived back from a busy week in New York for my daughters sixteenth birthday. The Strand Hotel was absolutely perfect for us. We walked everywhere from our hotel as it was so central. All major attractions were less than 15-20 minutes walk. And a 2 min walk from the Empire State Building with its fantastic views. We took in a basketball game at Madison Square Garden, A show on Broadway and a couple of fantastic tours with the Grayline Bus Company. Spent a day in Central Park and obviously done some shopping !. All in all a great experience.
I loved Chelsea! Not having been to New York before I was unsure as to where to stay. I didn't want a lot of noise or be in a heavily-touristy area. Chelsea was perfect. The hotel is nestled in with where real New Yorkers live and play. Along 8th Avenue you'll find lots of different shops and sights and is quick and easy to get to Times Square and other places. The hotel was great. I had a single room and enough space for the time that I actually spent there. The bed was so comfy and the sheets clean and soft. The bathroom was well equipped and airy. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip :-)

From the moment I arrived, the staff were great and most helpful. My room was well appointed and clean with the best view of the Empire State Building. Though small (normal for NYC Hotels unless you fork out the bucks for larger living spaces), the Queen sized bed was most comfortable and bathroom was large... For me, the two most important attributes. The staff was eager to please and I must say, succeeded.

This hotel is very clean and close to Grand Central. The mattress is fully encased in a cover and although it was a little soft it provided a comfortable sleep. The cold breakfast had many choices and the fruit was very fresh. We appreciated that it was included along with in room wi-fi. The staff were always friendly and made us feel welcomed. Check in and out was easy. We will definitely stay there again.
This was our 1st trip to NYC & we wanted to be right in Times Square. We stayed at NY Marriott Marquis 8 nights. Excellent location-in the heart of Times Square, several shows within a block of the hotel. The room was clean & spacious enough for 3 adults, the staff friendly & helpful. The hotel restaurant seemed overpriced so we didn't try it. We were very satisfied with our choice. Would definitely recommend for a 1st time visitor.
I surprised my wife with this trip, and was not disappointed in the cooperation that I received from The Muse. I let them know about her birthday, and they brought a bottle of champagne and some chocolates to the room the first night.
The check in process was easy, and can actually be done online to make it even simpler. Any questions we had about the city were answered from a genuinely interested standpoint, rather than the canned answers you get from so many other hotels.

The staff at this hotel were friendly and very helpful. It's a small hotel, our room was lovely and clean and perfectly adequate for 4 adults sharing for 4 nights. The breakfast room is small but we never had trouble getting a table. There was lots of choice and the hot breakfast varied daily. It was enough to keep us going until late afternoon. From the hotel we walked to all the attractions, Empire State, Central Park, Rockerfeller Centre, Grand Central Station, Times Sq, Flat Iron building, all the way to Battery Park. This was because my companions wanted to soak up the sights. I'd have preferred the bus! I would stay at this hotel if I were to return to NYC.
