“Warning - Hyatt Double Charging”

This is a good hotel but unfortunately that despite pre-paying through Expedia, Hyatt charged us again (without us knowing) the full accomodation amount (6 days) on our credit card we submitted for incidentals. A month later they finally refunded after constant chasing and then refuse to cover exchange rate fluctuations. They don't seem to know what they are doing in their accounts department. Be careful when they want to take a "block" on your credit card, they will charge you without notification. (Expedia didn't get back to me on my email either)

The location was ideal for my business meetings, but it was also idea for access to entertainment spots, restaurants, sights, etc In Manhattan to be central can be a lottery with respect to Hotel quality, but the Grand Hyatt was stylishly comfortable, informal and busy - which I like I would certainly go to the hotel again. I should also single out the concierge for their knowledge of the area and their polite manner and also the Grand Club that provides access to lounge suit services inc great morning breakfasts and is open and available all hours to those that book with this add on extra

“Close to excellent”

Rooms are on the small side but well furnished. Liked the touch screen lights and temp control. Housekeeping was excellent. I have to agree with other reviews - bathroom design is baffling and does not work well. Location excellent and every staff member I dealt with was very helpful

“Best Hotel ever stayed in.”

Would recomend this hotel and will be back soon, stayed in the Waldoff Astoria last time in New York but this hotel is better by far.

“Midtown convenience”

Coming just for a long weekend this hotel destination was ideal for us. Centrally located we could easily walk to the show on Broadway, get short cab rides uptown as well as downtown. Being so enormous this hotel is not cosy, it is efficient - the concierge was busy ( you had to queue at peak times) but had a couple of brilliant meal suggestions - room service spot- on. There is a 24 hour coffee shop in the lobby, ideal for the late arrival and early departure we had, as it serves better than starbucks- style snacks- fruit, bagels, juices, yoghurt pots. The only thing I felt it truly lacked was in -room slippers and robes; The 21 year olds I took with me were very happy with the location and didn't feel 'judged' by not being smart! Perfect.

Soho for shopping. 5th Avenue for the hologram light display on Sak's building.

“Great location”

Comfortable rooms. Great location. Watch out for bar prices but they do serve LARGE measures! Check your bill. We have charge of £120 that we did not sign for. To be fair', we expect a refund

“Will come here again”

The Hyatt was truly outstanding in virtually every aspect. Front desk, cleanliness, helpful staff, neighborhood - all were fantastic. The room was beautiful, staff were very polite and helpful. I live in Brooklyn and reserved it for my mother, who loved it, and made a note that she wanted to stay there again. Just a side note as an NYC resident: they have a team of gentlemen outside who grab taxis for you. But many of the taxis are private and overpriced - one set us up for a $45 taxi ride to LaGuardia (which is a $25 trip). When I asked for a yellow cab, he put us in one - that was private and had its meter off. My guess is that the private taxi guys tip the bellmen for getting them business. Grab your own yellow NYC taxi - with meter - if you can. By no means is this a detriment to the hotel - just something to be aware of. The overall experience was fantastic.

“I would certainly go back to the Hyatt.”

My stay a the Hyatt was great. Friendly and helpful staff convienant for shopping and the shows in broadway. my only reason for not giving a 5 for cleanlness their was some dust on the floors it just needed a vacume run over it. Other than that towels and bedding spotless and changed daily, upgrade to king size room . I would recomend this hotel to my friends and family. Great Stay looking forward to coming back.

“Great Hotel”

Everything I expected and more. Wonderful hotel. Great location. Loved the 24 hour food court. Went for my Daughter's birthday. We go to New York most years but this was by far the best hotel we have stayed in.Would stay again. Rooms very clean and spacious.

“Very good hotel in NYC”

Although there were issues in the unit regarding the air conditioning and the way it blew air, the hotel was very good. The club on the 16th floor is excellent and a great place to relax and unwind. They have excellent food and service and are great people. This hotel is excellent. It has had a recent renovation that is a good makeover.
