The Lady Hamilton Hotel in Cape Town is an excellent hotel for those who do not spend much time in their hotel room whilst on holiday other than for sleeping. The location and surrounding neighbourhood (The Gardens) is convenient to town down Cape Town whilst not being in the middle of it. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the hotel staff cheerful, and the rooms cleaned spotlessly every day. The hotel itself is very basic and the car park is a bit of a nightmare. If you want to impress your friends, tell them you're staying in the Mount Nelson, literally around the corner, and take them for high tea there. However, for an economic hotel in Cape Town, the Lady Hamilton is hard to beat.
Delightful guest house , said to be cat friendly however there was only one well behaved cat in the hall at times, so don't be put off by the prospect of lots of cats. Staff very friendly, room massive bed, cotton sheets clean and well kept.
Breakfasts excellent with lots of choice. Easy to walk safely to local restuarants. Great base with secure car parking.
Just a few minutes drive from the city centre, the Waterfront and Table Mountain, Leeuwenvoet House is the ideal choice if …More
Charming & helpful staff. Not a hotel as such but 2 whole roads (actually 2 short cul de sacs)that have been bought up and the charming terraced houses turned into suites and self catering rooms. Area of Kloof Str great for bars and restaurants and a short, safe walking distance from the Mount Nelson Hotel for extra grandeur. Breakfasts large and offering much variety. Bathroom toileteries upmarket Charlotte Rhys. Decor modern, chic and tasteful. Certainly would book again and recommend. Just one downside, parking very difficult as road short but you can offload and park elsewhere. Shops and supermarkets in Kloof Str for self catering supplies. They are also linked to an upmarket Private Game Reserve near the Kruger Park and can book you.
Why am I giving my secrets away. I should rather keep this gem for myself!!
