a small "boutique" hotel at the very top of a steep slope with incredible views. It appeared to be a fancy house renovated into a hotel. The view from the balcony was amazing and infinity pool looked great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The main downside was finding the place and the fact it is at the very top of a very steep hill made it quite inaccessible. It is far from everything as well although situated between Camps Bay and Seaside. Other downside was the parking was quite tight. Overall a nice hotel if you like the B & B or boutique style accommodations and don't mind the hassle of tight parking and fairly long drive to eat or go out. For me and my tastes I am not a fan of B & B as I don't like the feeling of being in someone's house so wouldn't recommend it unless you like that sort of thing but to be clear this is not to take away from the appointment of the hotel or its staff.

Front desk staff very helpful & professional. Rooms ok, bar area looks good but only had one beer on draft and that did not work for the 4 days that I was there. That left a choice of 1 bottled beer. Cocktails limited to choice of 6 and bar closed at 20:00.
Not suitable for thirsty travelers.
"The Best Hotel or Guest House I Have Ever Had The "
They made myself and my little daughter feel welcome and at ease. Having a bad back as a rule, I found the bed to be incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, the service and the food was faultless every day.
I found parking easy and my hosts were always ready to offer suggestion and directions as needed.
The property was very secure at night but keys and access were not intrusive.
We enjoyed the perfectly maintained pool almost every day also, often, both morning and evening.
I would heartily recommend anyone wanting a relaxing time to book Hotel Villa Sunshine
Nothing much that you'd be interested in as we hardly stayed at the hotel. It says I need to add a bit more to the review but not really sure what to add other than mentioning it was a good location for the price
After 10 hectic days in and around Cape Town we wanted to have 4 nights of peace and quiet by a pool. The hotel was great, fantastic views, relaxed environment and small enough to feel homely. Although the rooms are perhaps a little dated, it is a great hotel, the staff were absolutely fantastic, the best i have encountered, willing to help, constantly with a smile and never wavering in enthusiasm ! Would definitely return.

Our first trip to Cape Town was a six night stay at the Avanti guest house. From our room you can see the bay at sea point and on our first day we saw two right whales from our room.
The room was very pleasant and clean, with a fan for the warm evenings, (no air conditioning). The shower was amazing, more powerful than a power shower with copious amounts of hot water.
Our hosts, Johan and Maria were wonderful and arranged airport transfer, taxis, car hire and the shark cage dive for us.
Breakfast was a treat, with a small buffet style, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, meats and cheeses and of course cooked items (a fry up). Delicious coffee from Johan.
I would highly recommend The Avanti guest house.

Outstanding! ALL of the hotel staff were very helpful and very nice to talk to. There were happy greetings all day long. The view the hotel rooms have of the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Town is breathtaking. I had two rooms in the time I stayed and the balcony was the place to be. The tour desk offered the best tours for everyday of the week. And let me tell you about the hotel shuttle...excellent and extremely accommodating. The three driver I had were great for tips and suggestions for places to go. I have been all around the world and I have to admit, this is the first hotel I have ever written a review for. The best of the best! The Peninsula Hotel is the only hotel I would ever stay at in Cape Town or anywhere else there is a Peninsula Hotel.
