Wonderful hotel with only a few rooms. They have a private chef preparing the meals for you. It’s pure luxury. I have stayed in many hotels in my life, maybe 300, and this one is to be considered very special and outstanding. Top 3%.

If you want a super special experience in a high quality guest house with your own chef and staff then Tintswalo Boulders is the place to stay. The property overlooks the amazing Penguin Beach which only adds to the unique experience of staying here. We would highly recommend this as a very special 5 star place to stay.

Perfect views of boulders beach

Beautiful B&B right on boulders beach with unobstructed views of the water! The best part of this B&B was the location. Would recommend staying 1 night to wake up early the following day and see the penguins. The staff are very friendly and helpful and property itself is very large and nicely styled.

Warm and memorable stay

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and would really recommend it. The staff, especially Vicky, are warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond with making our stay memorable. My friend had an excellent spa experience and they were very accommodating. Vicky was able to make a special restaurant reservation for us at the last minute which was wonderful. The hotel feels like a guesthouse and the view of the sea and the penguins are incredible. We look forward to coming back.

A must stay in Cape Town!

Absolutely incredible stay! My friend and I were traveling for a few weeks and ended our stay here, couldn’t have been a better way to cap off the trip. Service: impeccable. They are accommodating and kind and so helpful. The food was AMAZING and the views were the best (we could see the penguins). I would tell everyone to stay here at least once in their life!

expensive but truly worth the money only five rooms available which makes it quite an individual experience awesome breakfast with very fresh orange juice and you can choose what will be cooked for you rooms are decorated very nicely, are spacious and cleaned while you have breakfast private entry to the penguins 🐧 awesome view from all rooms but especially from the roof top with the small swimming pool massage and facial treatment in the spa were very nice and reasonably priced, too - hope to see next time a sauna 😊

It is so close to the penguins you can hear them from the terraces, such a unique location. The staff were amazing, shout out to Darvey and Kirsty. Nothing was too much trouble, they were attentive and very customer service driven.

Tintswalo Boulders is an excellent choice if you want to discover the wonders of the African Pinguin population near Boulders Beach. Our suite room was huge, tastefully decorated and squeaky clean. The breakfast choice is impeccable, the staff is extremely friendly and polite. Is has become rare to see a hotel/ guest house of this superb standard, led with enthusiasm, taste for beauty and respecting highest service standards. Small recommendation: to provide laundry bags in the cupboards and to make the bathroom door close without effort.

A magical place

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! This was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. We stayed in the Mayflower Suite, and it was simply glorious—extremely spacious and luxurious. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels, and this one has climbed straight to the top! The staff? Five-star service all the way. I’m at a loss for words—just wow. Do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself! Oh, and by the way, you get a private entrance leading directly to the penguins… an unforgettable touch!

I attended Mining INDABA 2025, and due to not booking my accommodation on time, I ended up staying in Simon's Town, which is an hr drive from the Conference Centre. Tinswalo is located in a quiet and predominantly white suburb of Cape Town. It offers breathtaking views, and the place is superb. I highly recommend it for couples going on holiday, honeymoon etc. Every day, while eating breakfast, I would overlook the penguins on the shores of the ocean. The staff were helpful and professional. I will definitely return with my wife.... Being a foodie person. i enjoyed every meal. talk of the Rooms clean and everything was flawless.....
