Frankly its expensive, thats why I picked it, its worth every penny and the location is beyond perfect, the staff feel hand picked and the atmosphere is opulent yet welcoming. the cocktails are among the best i have ever had and the dining room is stunning, its a small venue in terms of foot print but thats mainly down to the architecture in the area, there room was very elegant and had a large hallway and a walk through closet which gave it the feel of an apartment with views onto the street through shutters, sound proofing was epic so staying in bed in the morning was made all the better.

The hotel is magnificent. Beautiful grounds, super room. It felt like we were guests in a palace. Best of all the service was supreme. Everyone we encountered could not have been more eager to be of help--the entire staff made us feel very special.

Arrived at the hotel and was upgraded once they found out it was my husbands 30th and our honeymoon!
View was stunning!
Couldn't recommend enough!
Perfect location, 10 minute walk tops to centre of Florence but free shuttle offered too.
My son sourced this hotel for a 3 day stay in Florence. We were delighted with the location, welcome, facilities and staff. Francesca on Reception and her colleagues went the extra mile, recommending fantastic local restaurants and helping us with tickets for the various museums and sites. We had a problem with one set of tickets we had ordered on line and Francesca sorted it out in no time. Great customer service with lots of smiles and laughter!
The breakfast staff were helpful and happy and the bartender was a young lady who mixed cocktails expertly.
We loved our stay and will return to the hotel every time we visit Florence.
We would highly recommend the Hotel Ville dull"Arno, as it is a short walk to the city center, yet quiet and peaceful. We were dismayed when we checked in when we were shown to a room with a street view, as I had booked for a river view room. The staff was very apologetic and accommodating, and arranged for a upgrade to a suite. We waited quite a while for the room to be cleaned, but they were kind enough to comp our drink while we waited. The bar area, restaurant, and outdoor pool areas are lovely. Our room was better than ever imagined - huge, with a large balcony and huge rain shower with huge tub and double sinks. The furnishings were exquisite and high quality. The bed was comfortable and the linens divine.
We had dinner once at the restaurant and quite enjoyed our meal. The menu is creative and authentic. The only criticism was the way the filet was cooked. We asked for medium, and the steak arrived quite rare. When we asked if they may cook it longer, they gladly obliged, but the chef charred the outside without cooking the inside. I hated to waste this steak, but could not eat it this rare.
The breakfast every morning was amazing! great variety and quality of food. The wait staff was very welcoming and friendly, but a bit oblivious when it came to ordering a coffee. We expected that they would greet us and offer us a coffee, but we had to try to get their attention to do so. We loved the decor in the restaurant.
Bikes were available for rental as well.
Fabulous experience got around most of the Historic sights although still needed a couple of extra days to get around everything, you almost need a bit of a break between cultural sites as there is so much to take in, you can feel a bit overloaded with information, Florence is an incredible clean and safe place to visit. If i had a small criticism it would be that you really do not get warned about the amount of steps you have to climb in most of the sites, they can be quite daunting, i would hate to put anyone off by saying this but you do need to be aware.
