“Great hotel great value for moneyvery close to the station”

A place for comfort, excellent view from the balcony, excellent breakfast, very close to the station. There are restaurants nearby. The river is 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. One can't ask for more.

“Great service indeed”

This is a very nice hotel near the centre and the main bus and train stations. Excellent location, excellent service, nice choice of things for breakfast. Really great service, very helpful - when some of our bags did not arrive on our plane to Florence, the next day they were received by the hotel staff and put in our room. Great!

“Very impressed”

The location is extremely convenient, very close to the train station which seems to be the hub of the cities buses as well. It is also where you get dropped by the very good coach link from Pisa or Florence airports, so could not be more convenient. There are a couple of very good restaurants within 150 yards, one almost next door, plus an excellent mini supermarket 50 yards away where you can get just about anything you might need very cheaply. The breakfast is excellent, far better than an average continental breakfast (I really don't understand some reviewers mildly critical comments) The free internet access is very useful with 5 connected terminals for you to use at any time, and although it doesn't seem to be mentioned on the hotels particulars, we had a laptop with us that easily connected to the hotels free WiFi from our room (this was just one of the ordinary rooms, not one of the more expensive rooms). The daily room cleaning and fresh sheets were again excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. If I had to find one thing to criticise it would be the soundproofing between ours and the room above. We never heard much from the rooms to the side, but from above when they were using their bathroom in particular it was quite noisy. This might just have been the layout of our room or the people in the room upstairs, but if I was to stay here again (which I certainly hope to do)I think I would try and get a room on the top floor.

“Excellent Hotel at Budget Price”

We enjoyed our stay in Florence and found this hotel to be excellent value for money. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to major attractions. It was also next to the main train station which was good for any trips as most bus trips picked up there too. The transfer bus from the airport also stopped at the train station. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room with a balcony and view of the Duomo and mountains at no extra cost.

“Comfortable, Clean and convenient”

How else can I descrive this Hotel? It was comfortable, it was clean and it was very convenient for visiting the whole of Florence. The hotel had everything you'd expect from a 3 star hotel, i.e. the points mentioned above, daily cleaning of rooms, free wifi and helpful staff. The breakfast bar provides basic buffet breakfast which was more than enough for us. The room was a decent size, the bed was big and comfortable and the air con was a great help during the night. Bathroom was clean and had a good shower too. Can't think of much more to say other than this is a good value hotel and it provides the service equivalent to what you pay for.

“Every thing you need for a short stay”

Good location for trains and buses, Hotel very clean ( clean towels and sheets every day ) security safe in room. Breakfast good. Staff very helpful. Best of al price was good. Within walking distance of most attractions. Would stay again.

Right across the road from Santa Novelli train station, so excellent location.Need a high floor, as very noisy outside. Free internet access, which was a bonus. All Florence within walking distance. Excellent hotel in an excellent location

“Excellent Hotel”

The Della Nazione is an excellent base for a stay in Florence. Located directly opposite Firenze S.M station, its an excellent base if you're planning on travelling about. Upon arrival we were given a free upgrade to a double suite as "Guest of the day" and the reception staff are more than helpful. The room was excellent, and the balcony looked out over the station giving a great view of the hills and the Duomo. The free internet came in handy on a few occasions to keep up with things back home, and the breakfast was enough to keep you going until lunch. Overall, an excellent hotel in an excellent location, most impressed.
