"Thin walls, but who cares, people sometimes are loud. It's may, the weather is gorgeous, so the outdoor tables were packed. Restaurant staff were terrific. My window looked out onto a black metal tree--oh well. Conveniently located, and easy to find. Skipped the breakfast."

"I know it’s new, but everything about this overnight stay was fantastic. Staff… really attentive and helpful. They set my room temperature and asked which room I’d like to stay in. Breakfast… plenty on offer, freshly cooked food, great service. Room… very spacious, clean, had space to sit on an evening, HD television. Location… perfect for the city, it’s in the area which has been developed to support arts and social activities, major change from when I lived here whilst studying. No parking,...

"We booked this stay for our daughters birthday, all the staff were fantastic throughout our stay. The reception were great with our daughter, they noticed it was her birthday and gave her a nice jar of jelly beans. The room was clean and as expected, facility's were great especially the pool area. We had a buffet breakfast in the morning, the selection was plentiful and all the food was good quality and presented well. We will visit again."

"Being a Thursday the hotel is relatively quiet but that’s not the hotels fault and I’m here for 3 days but only been here for a couple of hours, better reviewing after I check out but I’ve given the star ratings based on the hotel quality "

"A nice hotel, but I was disappointed with my last day. I stayed for 5 nights and asked for a late checkout on the final day, only to be told checkout latest was 11am and every hour after would be a charge of £30. This seems a little extortionate and as a frequent traveller and user of this hotel many time before, a little user unfriendly. I understand they have to clean the rooms and make ready for other people, but surely there is a more customer friendly way of dealing with this. "

"Perfect location. From our room we were lucky enough to have an amazing view of the Tyne Bridge. Presenter drinks on the outdoor terrace were lovely and a swim in the pool was a great start and end to a busy day sightseeing. Would highly recommend! "

"The leisure centre was great. The swimming pool was clean, although the water could have been just slightly cooler. Happy hour in the bar Sunday to Thursday was a pleasantry, with £3 beers. The hotel is in a great location and close to lots of good value restaurants. Hotel staff were very helpful."
