The truth is that every feature you would want to be top quality in an outstanding hotel was exactly that during our stay! Friendly, helpful and polite staff made for a relaxing stay. "This hotel, as you would expect, is immaculate. Special notice must be given to the grounds keeping staff. I have never stayed at a property with such well-manicured flowers and fauna. It really added to the ambiance of the stay. Breakfast is wonderful, do take advantage of it. As for the dining, the menu was too over the top for us as a general statement. We find Michelin star or noted restaurants to be too adventurous for us, generally but we managed well enough. This is a very peaceful and supremely quiet house in the country."

"Room was nice but the walls are very thin and we were woken up by late night arrivals on both nights who has some drinks in them. Staff were lovely and breakfast was great. A little annoyed that we payed £10 in order to use the hotel car park but only managed to once in the entire trip as the car park was always over full."
