"This hotel, as you would expect, is immaculate. Special notice must be given to the grounds keeping staff. I have never stayed at a property with such well-manicured flowers and fauna. It really added to the ambiance of the stay. Breakfast is wonderful, do take advantage of it. As for the dining, the menu was too over the top for us as a general statement. We find Michelin star or noted restaurants to be too adventurous for us, generally but we managed well enough. This is a very peaceful and supremely quiet house in the country."

"Lovely setting with beautiful grounds. Loved the quirky decor in the lounge and bar. Breakfast was top notch and cooked to order. Extensive menu choices at other times of the day."

"The food in the restaurant was not very good at all. Very little selection . The menue was the same each evening, including the soup of the day. The out side patio needed the ash trays emptying and rubish off the floor. The staff were lovely but at times there was not enough of them on shift. Resulting ln a long wait at the bar to be served."

"Room was nice but the walls are very thin and we were woken up by late night arrivals on both nights who has some drinks in them. Staff were lovely and breakfast was great. A little annoyed that we payed £10 in order to use the hotel car park but only managed to once in the entire trip as the car park was always over full."
