The Ryebeck Hotel

"We booked the Ryebeck for our 15th Wedding Anniversary, and we were made to feel welcome before we even arrived. Craig and his team made us feel welcome and part of the furniture. They're incredibly attentive and accommodating. The room was clean and very comfortable, with a great shower. The view out over the lake is incredible, and the gardens are lovely for a stroll. Dogs are very welcome and are treated to sausages at breakfast. The Chef might be the best-kept secret ever! We were blown away by how good the food and the menu are. It can change a couple of times a week depending on what the chef can get from local producers. Breakfast was also delightful, and the French toast was unreal! It's a short walk into Bowness with plenty of parking in their car park. We are already looking at dates to book again."
The Belsfield Hotel

"This is our 2 nd stay at The Belsfield.The location is fantastic! We stayed in the tower room which had fantastic views over the lake.The room was comfortable and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Fantastic buffet breakfast. There was a charge for parking which was a little disappointing."

"Clean, spacious & very comfortable room. Breakfast was ok. Had to pay for an extra person (total 2 people in a king room). Had to pay for parking in their own lot, which seems a bit excessive. Our room had great views of the lake."
Bowness Guest House

"We were very satisfied with our stay at Bowness Guest House. After a long, rainy day of exploring, this was the perfect cozy spot to warm up and recharge. Our room was well furnished and overlooked the beautiful courtyard. The location was great, as we were able to park in the neighborhood and walk down to the waterside within 10 minutes. The host is also kind and helpful. Definitely recommend!"

"Very good location as near to bowness but not too near so it’s very quiet at night. Easy to get buses to other areas. No breakfast but well stocked tea tray, and plenty of places very nearby. Curtains not blackout so take an eye mask if that’s a mb issue for you. Parking available and free, just ask for directions when you’ve booked it. Definitely Recommend this hotel !"

"Very comfortable, quiet and welcoming. Excellent breakfasts. Nice lounge with books and newspapers. Close to the water and downtown core of Windermere. Owners very responsive to requests. Highly recommended."

"Exceptionally well maintained property.Very quirky theme throughout but done with thought..Room very comfortable ,very clean,very well decorated.Loved the breakfast hamper ,good selection of choices.The hosts were very nice and obviously worked hard keeping an old building to a high standard. Definitely would recommend ."
