Great stay, hotel is immaculate and staff are very friendly. We were offered vouchers to redeem at the bar for drinks instead of maid service which we took. Maid still came in one day which was nice. We arrived on a Saturday and it was very busy. There was a wedding on so lots of kids running around. If you’re looking for a quiet trip book another day and avoid the weekends if you can. Had a fantastic stay, child friendly, dog friendly and just really helpful staff. The grounds are stunning and i appreciate the enclosed area for the dog. The pool was lovely and warm, and the chess board outside was a lovely feature

I used to stay at this Hotel on a regular (often fortnightly) basis a few years ago as it offered well above average accommodation. I liked its location, which gave a balanced mix of easy access with rural unspoilt views, which is a rare treat for anybody who spends weeks driving up and down the Motorway networks. But what I especially liked was the staff, as they are the entire backbone of this hotel and a credit to its Management, I can't say that i've ever had one negative experience, either...

Ideal location with easy access from motorway. Well presented resort with nice views from lodge over lake and plenty of things to do on-site. Staff always well presented, polite and very helpful, always seem to enjoy what they are doing. Nice restaurant with plenty of food choices which are reasonably priced. Definitely will be going back.

Great spot in the middle of town. Visited for Dave's Day, really busy but staff were great. Good breakfast, great value for money.

Family get together for 2 nights. Food excellent, bar service very good and rooms spacious and clean.

Nice hotel, 5 minutes to the promenade and town. Lovely breakfast, nice big rooms. A bit dated but in a quant way.

Hotel was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly, Only gripe and I suspect this is what it limits it to 4* is a swimming pool and exercise facilities. Breakfasts were excellent, This was off season and hotel was quiet. Views from room of lake were spectacular. Hotel was very dog friendly to the extent of providing dog bed and bowls.
