Stayed over Easter weekend. Arrived Friday night and was greeted by one of the owners, Bonnie.
We have a double room, well sized with lots of storage. Bed was soft and good for a few nights with been uncomfortable. Ensuite was good as well and the showers hot. All rooms look to come with a TV (limited to ITV and C4 channels only) and welcome book with the WiFi information (good for streaming)
Breakfast has to be preordered by 7pm he day before, good range of hot food on selection...

As soon as we arrived Trevor came to the door to welcome up, he was really enthusastic and gave us as much information as he could! They’d had a cancellation so he also upgraded us for free. The room was amazing and had little extras, like tea, coffee, hit chocolate pouches if you wanted to make a drink. We were only there for two days and so wished we’d booked longer, can’t explain how much we loved it

We stayed in this lovely guest house for two nights as we were attending a family funeral. We arrived at about 3pm on the first day and were greeted by a lovely lady who explained where everything was and showed us to our room. We had a king room which was absolutely huge, with a massive, very comfortable bed, a large and comfy sofa, a large bathroom with an excellent shower and a really big TV on a rotating wall bracket (to make it watchable from anywhere in the room). This is a great B&B and I thoroughly recommend it. It’s a central location and the parking permit is an added bonus. It makes a great base for exploring Ambleside or the wider Lake District.

The weather was terrible but Matthew and Lucy more than made up for the lack of sunshine with their friendliness. Elder Grove is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in and would highly recommend it to others. They provided a hearty breakfast and were more than happy to cater for everyone’s likes and dislikes. Many thanks! Very happy!

Lovely hosts who had plenty of useful knowledge. Great breakfast which kept us going all day. Comfy bed. Lots of nice pictures and ornaments throughout the house. Big brollies came in very useful too.

Great hotel, great location and lovely staff. Very welcoming and friendly. Bus 591, 555 stops just outside the hotel and can take you anywhere whether it’s Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick all very easy to commute. Some great restaurants around. Staff extremely friendly at the reception. Breakfast top notch - 10/10 for Manuel who takes orders at the brekkie area , always smiling. Would highly recommend.

After a long day walking, checking into The Churchill was quick. Great parking, near to pubs and restaurants and a great bar. Service was good and breakfast was excellent. Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Really good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

The Phesant Inn was a wonderful place to stay. The breakfast was superb with an excellent choice. The staff were polite and attentive. Room 11 offered us a king bed with an excellent view.
