I recently brought 20 or so guests to Irie for my Wedding. Everyone had a great experience and the staff, cleaning team etc were all amazing. The rooms were clean and beds were cozy, they have a wonderful common area you can utilize aswell. Some cons would be that location is a bit hid away for now as development continues in Aldea zama. Water was a little on the salty side and not the best pressure. However you have to realize for the price point and safety of location it was a fantastic price. We probably won’t be back to Tulum for a while due to the increase in prices and police scams have seem to have gotten a bit out of control.

Nothing to eat without a $30 cab ride each way
This new, quiet, comfortable and beautiful hotel is near nothing! We took a $30 cab to get there near dinner time and their restaurant was closed with nothing to eat except breath mints :( Nothing walking distance, not even a little market. No breakfast available the next day. So eat before you go and bring cream for your coffee!!! The hotel manager was exceptionally kind and helpful but it did not make up for the lack of services.

Dear guest, we are sorry to hear that your stay was not to your liking. The hotel is located in a residential area, which is growing, but we have restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy, at 500 mts. We are 8 min from the hotel zone and downtown Tulum, we have bicycle and scooter rentals as options to move around Tulum.

Thank you Jorge, for staying with us, The tap water in Tulum is cenote water, so it is 70% salty and 30% fresh, for that reason you may feel a slight salty taste when brushing your teeth or bathing, this does not mean that it is harmful to your health or that the water is not filtered.

We were very happy with our stay here at Irie! It was myself my husband and kids ages 10 and 13. The hotel was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. Cecelia and Xiemena were super nice and informative they helped us book Xel-Há and atv’s to rent.

i stayed on this property and was not safe the front desk security allowed 6 guy and 5 woman on the resort and lead them to me and my two friends room where they was banging on the door at 430an threatening to kill us . if we didn’t hand over a phone we never had ! at alll!!!! they were trying to rob us ! we was scared n the bathroom for our live calling the mexican police nobody never came for us we didn’t leave out till my family in usa called the us embassy and sent them to come get us the property manager didn’t wanna hand over the footage because it showed his security leading the guys to our room ! do not stay here

This review is a complete distortion of the truth. This guest went out until 2 am and while out took the telephone of somebody at the beach. That person tracked the phone that was taken and came to the hotel to retrieve it. The phone was returned to the person and they left. The next morning when the guest checked out, we called a taxi for them to the airport, which they took. The comment made about being threatened and having to call the US embassy is a complete fabrication. Stealing property from other people, especially in a foreign country is always a bad idea. It is regretful that we are being reviewed in this manner, given the behavior of the guest.

We enjoyed out stay and our trip to Tulum and the Irie Boutique hotel....staff was great Alex at the front desk was very hospitable and gave great recommendations to visit...Gym was great, well kept and clean. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. A/C was cold and the staff was great always greeted you upon arrival and there was a female i apologize that I dont remember her name...was very cordial and always made sure our accommodations were good each day...even changed all our sheets and curtains too. The room was awesome and the private terrace/pool on top was top notch...definitely recommend the Irie and will return....conveniently located with a major grocery store about a mile or less away.

I recently stayed here for my bachelorette and LOVED IT. The staff was amazing and very communicative. The restaurant has amazing brunch and dinner. There is a nice gym and even yoga classes available. I booked a yoga class and the teacher was amazing - she even gave the class in English for my non speaking Spanish friends. The had great recommendations of activities to do like the Casa Tortuga Cenotes and the Xcaret Park that we did. A little of a drive to the shops and cafes but they have transportation and bikes available. Overall would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Irie Tulum was a beautiful property! The details of everything were top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant while there. The breakfast options were especially delicious. We had an excellent experience at Irie. We had a larger group and Martin and his staff were wonderful hosts. Everyone was happy to help and answer any questions we had (shout out to Victor for answering so many questions and giving tons of info via WhatsApp before we even arrived!). There was some construction in the area around the hotel when we were there in March but that was generally in the day and wasn’t a big deal because we were out in the day anyway (and out of the hotels control anyway, but just as fyi the neighborhood is in major development). Little shops and cafes were close by (10-15 minute walk, I’m sure there will be more soon too as the area is really developing). Having a kitchen in our master villa was great and the option to grab food or smoothies at the hotel restaurant downstairs was perfect for when we didn’t feel like making something ourselves. Would suggest maybe more cooking pots/pan options but we had enough for a simple breakfast which is all we needed! Our rooms were so nice, comfy kind beds with connecting bathrooms. Hotel helped arranged transportation and we took cabs everywhere. It’s not too far from the beach and downtown area, scooters and atvs could have been organized by hotel too but we just did cabs. Overall, would recommend! Thanks you Martin and staff for a wonderful stay we had a great time:)

New and very modern hotel. Very spacious apartment with absolutely everything necessary. Swimming pool and well equipped gym. In new development zone so bit outside and not easy to get but I'm sure this will improve over time. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

The property was nothing like the description in Expedia. It was adjacent to a noisy, dusty 24/7 building site, within hotel constantly loud music to drown noise. Expedia should send Inspection Team. My wife felt unsafe with building workers sleeping rough opposite the hotel. It's also extremely difficult to find - I eventually had to follow a taxi, costing me $10. The near-building site should be described in the overview

The experience was false advertising to the fullest. They advertise as a tranquil hotel, encouraging yoga, healthy lifestyle BUT the facility is far from that. To begin with, there are absolutely no street signs to help direct you to their location. It took us 20 minutes to find the hotel after driving around in circles. We then arrive there are only three parking spaces and the street is filled with construction debris. Checking in was fine, we had no issues. After checking in, we were so exhausted from the late drive from Cancun and we wanted food and a hot shower. The restaurant was closed despite the hours saying they were open. There was no hot water. We were able to call TomatoMX (their UberEats) who responded quickly. We had to take a very very cold shower. Told the next morning you have to ask for hot water. We decided to get a good night rest but awoken again at 7am to loud banging, talking and trucks due to construction taking place on all sides of the hotel. We couldn’t sleep so we got up, grabbed something to eat and left. Upon our return to the hotel twice that day, the staff at the front desk never said hello or greeted us in any way. They just stared at us. Same thing happens the next morning with the loud construction along with loud music at 7am. We decided to check out. We were told they could not give us a refund. I informed them that their website was false advertising and misleading. They should be transparent about the construction.

The team was super nice! Food was amazing! The penthouse is really nice and very comfortable. They do offer laundry services, bikes, wifi was pretty good, only went down once in 6 days. Only thing that sucked was all the construction around the hotel. The workers are on the clock from 8am to at least 6pm and it is loud, to the point where you cannot hear the TV or you need to yell to the person you are staying with. They even work on Saturday. The construction dust gets everywhere and will get your clothes dirty. If you don't mind the noise and plan to be up early and be out all day then you will be fine.

The rooms themselves are beautiful, but there area is still newly developing, it has alot of on-going construction in the surrounding area. The kitchen was out of service 2 days out of the 4 i stayed, which was an inconvenience since the location of the property isn't a quick 5 minute walk to local restaurants. The hotel can call you a cab or you can rent a bike (very affordable) or ATV ($85 USD and your passport in exchange for the ATV keys) to get to local eating spots. They offered uber eats (or similar) while the kitchen was down, but that didn't feel convenient to me. The water is very salty, so you may have to ask for extra water bottles or purchase them on the way. On the days the kitchen was open the food and drinks were amazing. They had great ambience music upon entry. The shower takes a little while to get hot, so you'll have to run it before getting in. I didn't get house keeping daily, but the room looked great upon initial entry. Your room key controls the power in your room, which is a great energy saving method. The lighting in the bathroom is very low lit, so it made it difficult for makeup application. Either installing an overhead light over the mirrors or attach another light source for situations like makeup application. The wifi coverage was spotty at times, but once they switched power source from generator to power grid, the Wifi ran alot smoother, and i was able to watch Netflix on my last night. Thank you for the review. Yes, the power in Tulum town went out during that period and the entire town was affected. We immediately rented an emergency generator for the property to try to minimize the negative effect of the town wide outage. We also waived a 70 breakfast bill for you as a courtesy for the inconvenience. I am sorry you still felt we were a 1 out of 5 stars because of the power outage we had no control over. We do our best to react as quickly as humanly possible to address things that happen and we tried in this case.

The property was great, it has such a good vibe and we loved the room and the staff was super helpful and friendly. There is a lot of construction going on around them which is not their fault there is construction everywhere, but our second night we had no power and no running water for almost 10 hours. I think once they fix all their bugs this will be a hotel we'll always come back to.

We did our best to address the power outage by immediately bringing in an emergency generator to address the outage. However, I am happy you enjoyed your stay outside of the power going out. This is a hidden gem tucked between the strip and the town area. This boutique hotel is beautiful. It is located in the Aldea Zama area. Pros: Great and friendly staff. Front desk is available 24 hours. Delicious food at their on site restaurant. . The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The price is not bad. Cons: Some of the cab drivers had a hard time finding it at night. It is best to get the phone number of the cab driver that is familiar with the area and coordinate pick up times. This is a nice up and coming area as there is some construction going on across the street. But this did not interfere with our stay.

We are a new property and we had to introduce the restaurant in stages to make sure the quality was at a high level for each serving. We are now open full hours! This property was AMAZING! It's located in a new area so there's lots of construction going on. My cousin and i had the pleasure of staying here for 5 wonderful days. We had plenty of space between the 2 of us. Everything was clean and comfortable. The hotel owner Martin was EXCELLENT! He was very kind and accommodating! Fulfilled our every request without hesitation and I'm so appreciative. We will DEFINITELY be back again. It truly felt like home❤

Nice hotel, the owner is extremely is accommodating and helpful. However the shower, and jacuzzi water is lukewarm, and the location of the hotel is extremely far from Tulum strip, and can sometimes not be found by taxi drivers as the property is newer in development.

This is a beautiful hotel! I had a great time! The hostess’s Laura and Candela are kind, helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely want you have a good experience in Tulum. The food was delicious thanks to Chef Daniel! I traveled solo and felt safe. I especially loved my room with the personal jacuzzi. I had a relaxing and rejuvenating experience at Irie Tulum. I can’t wait to go back!

Lovely stay at new hotel in Aldea Zama
We absolutely loved our stay at Irie Boutique Hotel. It’s a brand new hotel and it is beautiful. A 10 min walk to restaurants and coffee shops in Aldea Zama. Right in the middle of the jungle. Breakfast was included in our stay and was excellent. Staff was helpful and accommodating. They called us taxi’s when we needed them as the hotel doesn’t have much traffic around and is a bit tricky to find right now. Very clean and beds are comfy. It’s a hidden gem. We will be back.

It was a pleasure to stay at Irie Tulum. Truly beautiful space, amazing breakfast and lunch menu. We were shocked that it was just recently opened as they seemed to have everything down already. This property is in a residential area, no club music all night, no loud people on the street. (Best w rental car) Very happy we ended up here as the beach strip is loud and crowded at all times. Quiet w roof top pool view of the stars was perfect for our little family.

Irie Tulum was a fantastic stay. The penthouse suite is to die for! That jungle view from the glass walls of the private swimming pool was just fantastic. The property is in a quiet area called Aldea Zama in Tulum. Good access to both the town center and the beach. They had bikes on site for us to explore Tulum, which was a lot of fun. The concierge team organized everything for me and were such a pleasure to deal with. I recommend this place to all!

I can't say enough about my stay at Irie. It far exceeded my expectations! From my beautiful penthouse apartment, to the 5 star cuisine, to the all of the upscale amenities, and to the kind, attentive staff - if I could give 10 stars I would. My penthouse apartment was fully stocked with all of the necessities. It was luxurious and clean with an authentic Tulum vibe. I stayed on the jungle side of the hotel and had views for days of the beautiful lush canopy. My apartment had a breathtaking rooftop terrace with an infinity pool that made you feel like you were relaxing right in the midst of the Tulum jungle - absolutely amazing. The food was to die for. I found myself eating almost every meal there because it was like eating at a 5 star restaurant. The food was always beautifully plated and the menu had such diverse offerings. Bon appetite! The amenities had me never wanting to leave! The beautiful pool located right in the middle of the hotel property was so relaxing and chill. Talk about feeling like you're on vacation! The gym is a full service gym with every piece of equipment that you could possibly need. Professional weight lifters would die for this gym. But the most spectacular amenity in my opinion was the EPIC yoga studio on the top floor. I am a yoga studio owner myself and I was blown away by the size of this studio and the tranquil, peaceful vibe it gave while practicing there. This vacation was one of the best! Highly recommend!

Best holiday experience in Tulum
We were delighted with our stay at Irie Tulum. The property is beautiful itself, with good location in a quiet calm place. Just 10-15 mins by car from the closest beach and also from downtown. The staff exceeded our expectations, they went above and beyond to make our stay awesome. The breakfast is delicious, I would love to try all the dishes they have. Thank you Irie Tulum, we will be back soon !

The check-in went smoothly, and we really got our hopes up for staying at Irie. But during the first night is where the problems started. Irie stated that there would be security during the night when something was up. We didn’t expect we would be needing them, also since the hotel isn’t located in the ‘party’ area. We had to think again, the hotel itself seemed to be the party area. There is no supervision during the night whatsoever. Neighbors played loud music, people who weren’t staying in the hotel came over and left at 04:00 in the morning. People using their private tub outside in the middle of the night, consuming alcohol and whatnot. We stayed for 3 nights and we barely got any sleep during these nights. Obviously we confronted the manager of the hotel, we’ve sent WhatsApp messages during the nights we were awake only to get a reply the following morning. On the day of our check out, we were promised a reimbursement. But the condition of the reimbursement was that the neighbors paid a fine for making noise. This simply is not a reimbursement. My reimbursement shouldn’t be based on whether a neighbor pays their fine or not. I’m very, very dissatisfied with the way the manager has handled things for us. We won’t be staying at Irie again, and we wouldn’t recommend it.

El hotel es muy bonito y las instalaciones de primer nivel. Tuvimos un par de inconvenientes básicos de limpieza las primeras dos noches pero la estancia es ampliamente recomendable
