"Room as nice and clean. Bathroom fine. Would have appreciated coffee maker, if not in room at least in the lobby. And being on very top (12th) floor, with slow elevators, was inconvenient. Wasted significant time getting up & down from my room. Next time I will request room not so high up, and with a window with view of street or anything more interesting that outdoor area between walls. "

"Hotel is just ok. No door help, have to take a slow elevator to the lobby, then another elevator to your room. Lobby was super crowded and chaotic at check-in and check-out. Staff was ok but not super friendly. They had rooms ready but charge $75 for early check-in regardless. Room was small and dark with very little light, terrible bathroom lighting, not a lot of extra towels. No hair dryer had to call for one. Fire drill performed during the day with very little warning. Alarms blared so loud for 15 min and elevators were shut down. Had to take the stairs but it was a maze of hallways to get to the lobby. Night manager was rude when we asked about using our hotels.com credit for room service since one of us was sick and could go not to the restaurant. Was told no we can’t use our credit unless we eat there no exceptions. Location was ok next to Neil Simon theater where we saw MJ which was fantastic and was the bright spot of our stay. Would not recommend."

"Nice easy location, very nice and helpful staff. The room was pretty clean with a few issues, one being that the garbage cans all just had bags draped over them, not actually in the trash cans, which isn't a big issue obviously, and a noticeable hair hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom. But my biggest gripe is that the thermostat is not actually connected to the heat/ac at all. I set it to "cold" mode and 70º which is the lowest it goes. Woke up super hot with the heat pumping out. You can tell it's not connected because I just ended up setting the thermostat to off, and adjusting the temp/mode on the heating element which is caged in in the room, and was accessible with a pencil. But that made the room temp much more bearable. Once that was fixed, I liked the place and people working there. The elevators are quite small, but that might be a NYC thing. All in all I'd definitely recommend it, particularly if you aren't very worried about the temp. "
