"Two night stay. Checked in and was given a room without AC which I knew I would struggle with, but a quick trip to reception and I was moved to a room with AC. Room was very clean, with everything you need. There was a socket that looked a little dangerous as was hanging off the wall but didn't affect my stay. Decent breakfast with a lot of choice. The outstanding thing for me was the staff. Each and every one of them were friendly and helpful on what appeared a very busy weekend for them. I would certainly stay again if I needed a hotel I that area."

"The property has been refurbished to a good standard but still could use some further work to improve the building even more It is an old building and some of the floors upstairs need some work ( just outside our room there was a dint in the floor that felt like it might go through if not looked at in the near future. ). Would also be nice if rooms on the ground floor were refurbished to allow access for those with less mobility to enjoy the hotel The staff could not do enough for us especially Chris our morning server who went out of his way to look after us and provided me with the requested additional items to my Eggs on toast."

"Room was very clean except the airfryer had been left dirty and a greaseproof liner on top to cover it. We had to give it a good clean before using. Shower mat not big enough for shower, as was very slippy. Shower mat was also grubby on top. Fridge was clean, but the icebox was frozen solid and no room for our frozen food. An ice bag was also left in there from previous. We do not expect to be having to throw away other people's things. These were silly little things that were overlooked but important. The bar/restaurant next door was amazing and staff very friendly. As were the locals. Parking plenty of room and safe. We would stay again if the small issues were dealt with."

"The receptionists and manager on Friday night the 3/7/26 were amazing. They went out of their way to assist us with our booking as there was an error. The breakfast can't fault it The room had spiders that night and there's a buildup of dust all around the edges and corners of the room. Apart from that we had a comfortable night sleep. The pillows and beds are the most comfortable I have come across in hotels."

The member of staff who booked us in and showed us to our room, and later served us in the restaurant, was exceptional - welcoming, cheerful, informative, helpful. The member of staff who served breakfast was equally good - efficient, cheerful and helpful. Food was good and the room was comfortable and clean."
