Welcoming hosts with tea and cake setting us up for a lovely stay to attend a family christening locally. Lovely room with a spiral stair leading to the ensuite, complete with a slipper bath, heaven for K. Plenty choice for breakfast to suit all tastes, hearty option for me though.
We had a friendly welcome and shown to our room. Whilst the room was not large, a lot of thought had gone into people's comfort. My friend and I arrived and were extremely pleased with Ironbridge View Guesthouse. The decor was tasteful and to a high finish. It was absolutely spotless and well equipped Extremely comfortable beds. The communication by the owners was informative, friendly and professional. Thank you
Wonderful stay over a busy bank holiday weekend. Staff really friendly, room clean, comfortable. The building is old style and they've made the wonky floor and cute beams really work to their best. Central location, will use this hotel again. Wonderful bar and restaurant.
Quiet location at the edge of town, easy walk to tourist attractions. Very nice staff, readily provided extra info for our stay and sightseeing, upon request. Very responsive to email.
The market town of Telford attracts visitors throughout the year, who come to conventions held at Telford International Centre, as well as to explore the area's hiking and cycling trails. For discerning travellers looking for a luxurious hotel in Telford, the town's five star hotels and guesthouses are the perfect choice, offering excellent amenities for families, couples and groups of friends.
Although Telford was only built in the 1960s, the market towns and farms which make up the town date back much further, and the area has a rich history, with Ironbridge World Heritage Site and the Bronze Age fort at The Wrekin all nearby. Staying at The Old Orleton Inn, a 17th century coaching inn just six miles from Telford Town Park and Shopping Centre, is a great way to soak up some of the region's history. You’ll also find that local cuisine is a speciality in the restaurant here. The inn's staff are on hand to offer assistance organising tours or booking tickets to local attractions.
Many people come to Telford for its beautiful countryside and outdoor activities. Head for the golf course, hire a tandem bike and take a romantic bike ride for two or explore the 35 miles of traffic-free cycle paths (many of which follow old railway lines) with the whole family. On the outskirts of town, you'll find hiking paths suited to all levels of walkers, or you could always burn off some calories strolling around Telford Town Park, before heading back to your hotel or guesthouse for dinner.
Telford's range of five star accommodation includes self-catering apartments which offer excellent amenities, such as fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms and flat-screen digital TVs with DVD players. These apartments are a popular choice with couples and groups of friends attending conventions or events at The International Centre nearby, which hosts the annual Midlands Comic-Con.
Although most five star hotels in Telford offer on-site parking for guests, you won't have to travel too far to get a bite to eat here, so why not leave the car at your accommodation and explore on foot? Telford town centre and the Southwater Square area are home to chain restaurants, wine bars and cosy pubs where you can relax and perhaps even sample some of the region's craft beers, bottled at microbreweries in the area.
If you want to enjoy a relaxing stay in Telford you will find the range of five star hotels in the town well equipped, whether you're travelling with friends, family or your partner. Most hotels offer free WiFi and in-room amenities such as tea and coffee making facilities, as well as room service, so you can unwind after a day of walking, shopping or sightseeing in the area. Business travellers will appreciate thoughtful touches such as laundry facilities and parking, whilst families travelling with younger children will relish the fact that your in-room TV and entertainment options are great for keeping little ones entertained on rainy days.
