"More a self catering flat than an hotel however We were happy with it. It is in the suburbs of St Helens a distance from the town centre. St Helens Junction train station is about 5 mins walk, and a good little cafe for breakfast less than 2 mins walk. The area was quiet at night and there are a couple of local shops equally close for such things as milk for drinks.We used it as a base to explore the area hence we only used the kettle and the wifi. Would be happy to use again."

"A lovely welcome at reception by Dan who provided us with all the information we needed for our stay and helping us with directions for when we went into the City. Our room was ready and appeared modern and comfortable with everything we needed. Upon return to the hotel after our night out we decided to try the bar for one last drink as it wasn’t late. Unfortunately there were no staff insight in the bar area so we didn’t bother. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet and a good nights sleep was had. Breakfast was buffet style and we were shown by staff where everything was before tucking into an all round decent breakfast. Overall, a great place to stay in the heart of the city."

"The hotel is good but a bit shabby in places Our main problem was the free shuttle bus from the train station and to the airport terminals. We were stood for over an hour at the train station waiting for pick up. They have also changed the system for the shuttle to the airport. You can no longer book a slot on the bus. You just have to turn up and hope there is a place for you. The free shuttle service was the main reason we had chosen to stay in this hotel for the last few years, but now I think we will be looking elsewhere."
