The hotel is beautiful and quite unique. We arrived late in the evening and check-in was fairly seemless. Although, due to the loud music and face masks, it was pretty challenging to communicate with the member of staff checking us in.
Our room was a good size and in the lower ground/basement. The room was immaculate although had a rather stale smell which was quite unpleasant and due to the location of the room, we were unable to open any windows or get fresh air. This did hinder the experience quite a lot but since we had arrived so late and checking out in the morning, I didn’t think it would be worth calling reception about.
Also, due to the location of the room, natural lighting was quite limited which made getting dressed a bit difficult. Most of the lighting in the room is ambient and not great for applying makeup.
Overall, I’d stay again but would try and stay a few floors up to avoid some of the issues we had.
