The Withworth Locke was a very stylish and quirky hotel, in a fantastic city centre location. The staff were helpful and friendly thoroughly my visit and the studio was equipped with cooking facilities. However, there was neither air conditioning or a fan within the room which made the stay on a warm summer weekend, slightly uncomfortable. Also the studio was arranged in an unusual layout which made things like seeing the tv difficult unless sat at the dinner table. If you intend to spend time relaxing in the evening within the room, this may cause you an issue.

Overall a very enjoyable stay. The location was unbeatable and reception staff very friendly. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and it had good amenities. The only negative thing that impacted our stay was the noise at night. We were on the first floor and the room is a sauna without the windows open, which meant two nights of poor sleep as you hear every street noise, cars, sirens, drunk people singing etc

The hotel is beautiful and quite unique. We arrived late in the evening and check-in was fairly seemless. Although, due to the loud music and face masks, it was pretty challenging to communicate with the member of staff checking us in. Our room was a good size and in the lower ground/basement. The room was immaculate although had a rather stale smell which was quite unpleasant and due to the location of the room, we were unable to open any windows or get fresh air. This did hinder the experience quite a lot but since we had arrived so late and checking out in the morning, I didn’t think it would be worth calling reception about. Also, due to the location of the room, natural lighting was quite limited which made getting dressed a bit difficult. Most of the lighting in the room is ambient and not great for applying makeup. Overall, I’d stay again but would try and stay a few floors up to avoid some of the issues we had.
