Disappointing stay, we booked here as we had stayed when it was under the Hilton brand and previously enjoyed our stay. Reception and main foyer area stil look great but the rooms are old and basic, burn marks on the sideboard, springy beds and poor lighting. No dressing gowns in the room as advertised. It was nothing like our last stay here a few years ago. Soundproofing of the rooms - terrible, we were next door to a group that kept us awake until 6am in the morning. They weren't particularly loud but we heard every conversation in full until they fell asleep at 6am. The positive- One member of staff stood out to us at breakfast, i didn't catch his name but he had short dreadlocks and was welcoming, helpful and polite. The breakfast was good for a buffet. We wouldn't return as there are much better options available in Manchester.
Great stay at the hotel with the pool and breakfast being two of the perks on offer. Whilst not the biggest pool (more than four people swimming can feel like a squeeze) it offers a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast options are incredible - highly recommend the tiny apple muffins - and most certainly worth the breakfast price tag.
