"From checking in to checking out the following day most things were wonderful. The staff so friendly and helpful. Lovely room/bathroom and service and drinks in the 12th floor bar. The only downside was the breakfast, we had to wait absolutely ages for a coffee but the lady was very apologetic and we hadn't been told there was actually a help yourself coffee machine at the other end of the breakfast room. For the price of the breakfast we all thought it was rather substandard with not enough choices of fruit/meats/cheeses which for a hotel of this standard sadly lacked."

"Decent location to access central London sites. Good access to the underground. The foyer/bar are pleasant, staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice enough, with hot and cold items- nothing fancy, but does the job. The rooms felt pretty basic, with three pillows between two of us, a hair dryer that didn't work, and a bathroom that hadn't been very thoroughly cleaned. Overall though, perfectly adequate.for.a quick stay where you aren't expecting to spend much time in the room."

"Used to be a 4* hotel. It never was 4* but it was pretty good. Great breakfast and amenities in the rooms. Now that it’s been taken over by AO it has gone downhill. On Expedia it’s still advertised as 4*. There’s nothing in the room, no tea/coffee making facilities, no hair dryer, no bathmat, no nonslip mat for the over bath shower. The bedding was good quality and the mattress comfortable, but only one thin pillow provided which resulted in neck ache in the morning. Paid extra for breakfast, it was poor. The cooked breakfast consisted of cold sausages, cold hash brown and beans. Hardly a full English. The cold continental buffet was just as basic. The bar was poorly stocked and with the poor and slow service provided by an abrupt bar man. I was the only one at the bar and it still took 20minutes from starting my two drink order to sitting down to drink it. Probably my own fault for having expectations based on previous experience before it was taken over by AO who seem to be turning it into a youth hostel. I subsequently discovered that AO are AOHostels which explains a lot, but AO have it on their website as a hotel, which is definitely not a hotel anymore, it’s a youth hostel with a stylish reception. On the plus side, there’s no charge on the ferry to Canary Wharf for residents that would otherwise be £7.80 each way. "

"This is one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The staff was incredibly friendly. The food and drinks were good. They were amazing with kids, the pool was beautiful and kid friendly. The location was awesome for what we wanted. Rooms were beautiful and modern. This experience made our trip what we wanted it to be. We are definitely going back. "

"Room is generally clean. The bed is very comfortable. Convenient stores close by. Subway is close by. Very good location. The dryer doesn’t dry the cloths well. Eventually we had to hang dry. "
