Sliema is a great town to stay. Close to St. Julians and Valetta and with ocean water you can swim in one street away from the hotel door.... They do have an OK pool area but I prefer the transparent blue mediterranean water.
The staff members are really nice and helpful, but the hotel is a little run down.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to bus stops, and the waterfront. The staff is helpful and does everything possible for the visitors. Breakfast and kitchen are secondary, and slightly below average. Equipment and furniture of the hotel is old and below average. Internet is good, but each entry requires going through Facebook or entered each time code, which is annoying. But the location, staff and sea view, outweigh the disadvantages.
You get what you pay for, this is a reasonably priced hotel in a great location, close to restaurants, bars, shops buses and ferries. We had a large room with a beautiful view of Valetta, the bathroom which was clean and functional was a bit dated. Breakfast was taken on the 8th floor with views of the sea, prom and Valetta.
Had a bit of a hiccup - first room they gave us was above a smoking area. Asked to move. New room much better with lovely view of bay. Nice swimming pool on roof. Breakfast fine. Staff very helpful. Go for meal at Ta Kris.
We were fortunate to have a sea view room with a balcony which was an excellent spot to relax later in the day when the sun had moved away. Our room was fine, ample hanging space and drawers for our clothes. We did pay extra to have a small fridge in our room which was brought up to the room within 10 minutes of us requesting it. Our room had three single beds, I would have preferred a double bed but it was not an issue. The bathroom was adequate although the shower was warm enough it was not what you would call powerful. The reception staff were always helpful and friendly. Ian was particularly helpful with regarding getting our boarding passes printed off for the return journey. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet every morning, there was always a good selection for those who required cooked food and a fine choice for those of us who liked a lighter start to the day. On the seventh floor there was a small lounge where guests can access free Wi.fi. The hotel is situated in an ideal spot to give visitors the chance to walk along to St Juilian's Bay. Would we return...... yes we would.
Great location, helpful staff and good facilities in room.
Room was pretty but had most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in!
Beach club was good value.
Definitely recommend and would return there.
Close to all amenities and in a very quiet area.
Traveller from West London
This charming traditional 100 room hotel is situated in a quiet residential area in Sliema, yet is only a short 5 minute walk …More
It was a really nice hotel we had sea view but the only problem is the walls are thin you can hear everything your neighbour is doing and the streets are loud . Hard time sleeping but room was clean and the beds were uncomfortable and made a lot of noise .
Great location, breakfast has good choice. Staff friendly and helpfull. Very clean hotel, only moan was water flow and shower cold water first thing in morning. Never seemed to heat up. But would stay there again.
This is a good hotel but does have a few issues. My room the door was very weak, if someone pushed really hard they could have broken the door. The floor needed some repair, the beds where a little hard but OK, The pillows were fine. The hotel staff was nice and answered questions. Overall not a bad place just needs some work. Not 4 Star quality.
On the northern edge of Malta, Sliema forms part of Malta's coastal resort area and is a center for shopping and restaurants. Sliema's Tower Road is a section of a kilometers-long promenade from Gzira to St. Julian's, ideal for walkers and joggers. In addition to its businesses and cafes, the promenade offers plenty of seating, and in the summer becomes a meeting place for locals at the seafront.
