We upgraded when we arrived, was given a massive room with sea view which was amazing. Air con works perfectly. Basic hotel with basic equipment but perfect for a cheaper hotel or a short week stay. Would stay again. Bedding was clean but bathroom needed a deep clean - was superficially clean but mould around shower. It’s an old building and smells damp but I suspect that is the same of many on that stretch of road. The hotel itself is rather tired and the breakfast is quite basic, quite disappointed that no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. The hot food at breakfast was at best luke warm, although there was quite a good choice of other food. The shower was fantastic, plenty of hot and fast flowing water. Popular beaches are a short walk away, as are some shops including chain stores. There are many atmospheric bars and restaurants on the promenade. The hotel staff are very welcoming and mostly very pleasant, this includes those on reception,in the restaurant and cleaning staff. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, the showers are excellent and free toiletries are provided. Breakfast too is very good with standard hot and cold offerings.
