"We asked for a lake view and got it which might be an obvious thing but from my experience isn't always guaranteed! It was good to see COVID safe protocols still in place. Would happily stay here again."

"Situated just off the main road noise intrusion was minor. The front garden grounds are large and our room had a lovely view over towards the Solway. Ample parking both at the side of the Hotel and an overflow car park is situated at the rear. Parking spaces are a good width, catering for the bigger vehicles on the roads today. No dedicated disabled parking but parking area is well surfaced in tarmac and there is a ramp access at the door that allows entry via the front of the building which where the lift can be found. Staff were all very attentive to making our stay a pleasant one. Check in was quick and easy on arrival. Meals were excellent & well priced Room and facilities were excellent with a large en-suite featuring a separate walk-in shower and separate bath. Large screen wall mounted tv with good range of channels. Tea/coffee facilities but no fridge unfortunately. Cost of our stay was cheaper than some others we looked at with lower ratings. Overall we could not find fault with our stay & have booked to return again in a few months so that we can visit more of the tourist places that are close by within an hours drive."
"We had dinner and breakfast and the food was all great. The staff were very good.
The parking was a bit of bother as the sat nav takes you too the front of the hotel and the parking was at the back, had to be given new post code to get there"

"Our room was lovely, large and neat and clean. The only one problem, which was a huge issue, was that the room was boiling!! The windows were already open, but no matter how much we fiddled with the thermostat on the radiator, it never got any cooler. We managed to get some sleep, but not a lot, and the duvet remained at the bottom of the bed all night. We sweated our way through the night. And that was the one and only thing that could be improved upon. You could save an absolute fortune by turning the heating down."
