"This location is used extensively for weddings, but we just had an overnight stop here on our way home from holiday. The room was functional rather than inspiring, but absolutely fine, everything worked and no complaints at all. Staff were cheerful and helpful at check in, in the bar, and at breakfast the next morning. Food both at dinner and breakfast was very nice (try the haggis!). Plenty of car parking. Would happily have a stop over here again."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and very quiet room. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast provided at the adjacent service station. The adjacent service station also had plenty of shops to top up supplies for our journey onwards. For an overnight stop on a long road trip this was perfect."

"We stayed for 2 nights and had our dog with us we had a lovely room with doors that opened onto a small patio and garden which was ideal for us. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, nicely presented and tasted lovely. I would definitely stay there again."

"Great stop over. Family rooms well set up and comfortable. Breakfast staff were excellent and food was great. Only one small issue that carpet in room hadn’t been cleaned properly and found used tissues and fruit shoots bottles in and under the lower bunk but bathroom was spotless so probably just missed."

"Some people were born to host. Maurice & Laureen have created a very special B&B experience for anyone lucky enough to stay. It feels more like a boutique 5* hotel with attention to detail and luxury furnishings. The highlight of my stay was the beautiful breakfast of refreshing creamy pot with fruit compote, followed by muffin with perfectly poached eggs, spinach, homemade hollandaise sauce, chives and roast tomatoes. Laureen is clearly a passionate and gifted cook and guests have the great fortune of reaping the rewards at breakfast. What an absolute treat! People have said it in other reviews but it does feel as though you’ve come to stay with old friends and I will absolutely go out of my way to return here at the earliest opportunity. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a truly relaxed atmosphere. It was also great to share stories."

"A great one night stay on my way up to Scotland. Fabulous hospitality and made to feel very welcome. Had a peaceful night's sleep. Janice cooks a mean omelette for breakfast and enjoyed my packed lunch. Lovely estuary walking and lots of nature reserves in the area. Would stay again if in the area."
