The El Dorado Maroma was an overall great resort. My family of had a great trip. The resort grounds were pretty and well taken care of. The beach was amazing! The food was great, for sure get the pizza and tacos during lunch! All the activities included with “More Inclusive” were so fun and saved a lot of money. The entertainment team was fun, they had activities all day to participate in. The resort never felt too crowded, which we loved! Would 100% go back!

Around the resort you hear the word “paradise” .. and they’re really not joking. If you want little to no distance to get on the beach, made to order meals, consistently cleaned room- day and night, best bartenders and servers, and you aim for relaxation over party … this is IT. I’ve been to a good handful of resorts ( mainly rius ) but nothing compares to the standard this resort holds. It’s set up in villas or condo style opposed to big fat ‘hotel buildings’ you won’t find big greasy buffet anywhere. No cost for daybeds ( they’re everywhereee) The inclusive “and more” part Espicially ? We had 6 options to take advantage of including catamaran snorkeling and jet skis - that you can REPEAT as much as you want at no extra charge… where else does that ? Come here … AND TIP EVERYBODY. Every single employee deserves it, and is waiting to go above and beyond for you, the least you can do is show up with some small bills and please and thank yous. My partner and I couldn’t be more excited to return , and we JUST got home. The only con is how much you miss this place and everyone in it when you go.

Words cannot describe how amazing this resort was. From the incredibly friendly and hospitable staff, especially Carlos during breakfast time. To the cleanliness of the whole entire area. There’s hard working people here maintaining the area, making sure it looks amazing! Every person behind the bars were so sweet and put love into each drink. Each meal was so fresh and made to perfection. Our house keeper Itzel made sure the room was clean and freshened up after our day at the beach. I will absolutely return and will recommend!

Truly a great experience. Room and entire property are beautiful. Bartenders and activity directors made it fun. Meals are all cooked to order but service inside the restaurants is very slow. We plan to go back and take friends with us.

The staff were super friendly and attentive. I loved having a variety of restaurants to choose from. Room service was nice too, especially for the days we had an early excursion or were headed to the airport. Beach was beautiful. Drinks were strong.

The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff was so accommodating and super friendly. Our favorites were Leo, Carlos, Arturo and Gus. Just an unbelievable vacation. The beach is also one of the most beautiful beaches we have walked on.

When we arrived, the room smelled damp and musty, but by day two it was OK. We reported that our bed was broken on the first day and finally by the fourth day they acknowledge that it was broken and replaced the mattress. We cut our trip short by two days because we were told with the concierge that because of my physical limits, I would not be able to go on any of the excursions. We booked massages and were told if we took a tour of the property that he could give us a discount. When we refused to listen to the timeshare spiel, his whole demeanor changed, and he was not friendly the rest of the trip. The food was average, although the weight staff was very friendly and helpful. We were told by the resort that we would have to look to Expedia for a refund of the two nights that we didn’t stay, and Expedia said that we needed to look to the resort for that. All in all, we were very disappointed in our experience and would not recommend it to anyone. The best part of the trip was our swim up room where we could step on our deck and get into the pool, which is where we spent most of our time. The one excursion that we did take was a shopping trip that ended in no shopping unless you walked three blocks in the heat. Very disappointed in this trip!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary at El Dorado! Staff is above and beyond—every single staff member we encountered was so kind, caring, and helpful. The food at all the onsite restaurants was delicious, the bar is well-stocked and the bartenders great. We booked a room with one of the small private balcony plunge pools, and I highly recommend that. The beach is very well-maintained and gorgeous, and because it's a private beach there are no vendors—something I've always experienced at other resorts in Mexico but was very happy not to encounter at El Dorado. The included airport transfer worked seamlessly (perhaps with a large group the optional extra-charge private transfer would have been worth it, but for us as a couple the included van, which was shared with another couple going to a different resort on the way in, was perfectly fine and added very little additional time to the journey). Because we were only there for 3 nights, we opted not to do any additional excursions, special dinners, or massages, but just the relaxing time with a drink, laying at the beach or in the pool was perfection. Being off-season, the resort had fewer people, and it was never a problem to get the exact beach bed or chair you wanted. There is a tasteful attempt at a sales pitch for a memberships, but no pressure, and we were able to quickly communicate that we weren't interested. We've been to a number of all-inclusives, and this one is by far my favorite!
