We took a gamble staying here with it being a new hotel and there being no reviews but it absolutely paid off!! We had a wonderful stay here! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are really spacious!! The photos of the hotel dont do it justice. The hotel was in a peaceful location of Kyoto very close to the Philosophers path and surrounding temples. The roof terrace and complimentary happy hour drinks was a wonderful edition at the end of long day of sight seeing to soak up the views and relax.
The breakfast was excellent - a perfect balance of fresh vegetables, baked bread and fruit and yogurt. And the staff were so helpful with local restaurant recommendations. Would definately recommend

Loved the location of being nearer the old side of Kyoto. Spacious lobby was lovely along with rooftop bar. Balance between sympathetic design and modern luxury. Breakfast was excellent and very varied to others we had in Japan.
Room was good and a generous size. Ground floor didn’t have much light but that was okay as we were out all day.
Only negatives, only one chair in room and not many places to be comfy and relax. No bath. Laundrette was not nearly big enough, turned out to be very...

Absolutely stunning hotel. I was genuinely sad to leave. The room was beautiful and exceptionally well equipped. The standard was so high that I was guaranteed to be disappointed by my next hotel destination. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to return in future.

This is a really nice hotel. Well run with excellent staff. The only thing I’d say for first timers is to be aware that you are about a 25 mins walk from Gion. This is fine but becomes tiresome. The only other thing that was a slight issue was that the air con in our room was very noisy. Again not a big deal but irritating as it switches on and off all night. But otherwise it is a really nice hotel.

The hotel go above and beyond call duty to provide for their guests. Anything we would want, down to nail clippers was provided! A memorable stay, for sure.
Apart from that, comfortable beds etc
