"I made a mistake to book using coupon and couldn't collect a night. The hotel.com staff liaised for me with the Anshin Oyado hotel and I was asked to make another booking and promised I'll get refund from the cancelled one. The system is very ridiculous, the refund is divided from 2 parties, half ..."
"Overall this was good value. Rooms are small but well designed. Bed was a decent size with enough room for two pillows side by side (although unfortunately only one pillow is provided). Some people don't understand the concept of being quiet in the sleeping area despite the various signs advising ..."
"I loved the decor on the first floor. It was modern but had some traditional designs to it. Lawson and other places were within walking distance. The shower was one of the best things as I felt really clean after the showers there. "

"Kyoto is a great city and Cross Hotel Kyoto is right in the heart of it all-just a 3 minute walk from the Tozai Subway and the Keihan Main Line, and within easy walking distance to the main shopping area, Kiyamachi Dori, Pontocho Alley, and Gion. The hotel itself is modern and clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We were in town for Gion Matsuri and the reception staff provided great advice for the best vantage points. We selected the option with breakfast included. Although there were 5 choices for set menus, we were allowed to select food items that were not included in the set at no additional cost. Beverages are self service. In the lobby, there is a coffee bar available to guests. The room was spacious with a nice view of Kiyamachi Dori and the mountains. We had a King size bed which was very comfortable. There was a separate shower and large soaking tub. Good water pressure and temperature control in the bath. Amenities such as toothbrushes, are available in the lobby as needed to reduce waste. Bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are in the rooms. "
