We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. The rooms were spotless with a lovely Japanese aesthetic - a little bit of Japanese culture was a really nice touch. The minibar items, although limited, were all complementary. We had a king bed and an extra bed for my 19 year old son - both were extremely comfortable and the sheets really crisp yet soft. I found it more comfortable than the Peninsula in Tokyo. The location was great for us. Walk to some attractions, and a short taxi ride to the train and the main restaurant spot/down town. The front desk ordered a taxi within a few minutes. Great location for a couple of nights, as it is close to the Kyoto National Museum and Sanjusangendo temple. The staff were welcoming, kind and wanted to ensure we had a great a great stay. Breakfast was exceptional! We had the most incredible and delicious traditional breakfasts. A highlight of our stay! While I loved our room and the incredible bathtub it offered, the one negative for me was a musty odor in the room (I am sensitive to smell).
