Dinner was served at 6pm. So it is possible to have a brief onsen if you arrive on time. Note, the onsens are separated by gender and switch each day. One is double the size of the other. So, it worth trying both. It is a truely authentic experience. The cuisine was also traditional Japanese meals. The service was extraordinary. Make sure to book dinner and breakfast in advance. Note, the clientele is mainly Japanese nationals, which a clear indication that this lodging and hot spring experience is are one of a kind. We left with a few kimono that were available to purchase at a reasonable price. We hope to come back as both the owner and his wife, and all the staff were absolutely lovely! Thank you again."
