"Home away from home"
Used a 1 bed top floor last week whilst away on work and have booked again for my future trips. For me it's a much better alternative to hotels. I only needed parking overnight which there was plenty on the roads and it felt safe enough. I've seen some comments about students making noise but i barely noticed a thing. For the money I think it's difficult to beat.

"One night stay in Bristol"
We were on our way to Land's end and decided to stop at Bristol for one night. We have been travelling for about 1 week and we wanted a place with kitchen so we can have "home cook" food for dinner. Also the washer/dryer allows us to wash our clothing. I gave Hotel Staff a grading of 1 because there is no hotel staff. Everything is self served, including getting the keys.

"Nice hotel close to church for a family wedding"
Staff were very friendly and efficient on arrival. The receptionist escorted me and carried my luggage to my room. The room was clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. I had a cooked breakfast which was very nice but I felt there could have been a bigger and better selection of pastries on offer if you were just having a Continental Breakfast - e.g. there were no Croissants or Pain au Chocolat - a common favourite of many people I would say. I was attending a family wedding at a local church at 1pm and standard check out was 11am - I was most grateful that the staff enabled me to have a slightly later check out time so that I did not have to sit around in my wedding outfit too long and could get ready in a leisurely way. I would definitely recommend.

"Execellent Location "
The apartment was larger than expected. Well equipped and easy to access the keys. So close to Cabot Circus. We stayed in several places during our visit to the UK and Cabot Mews was the best faciity. I recommend purchasing the parking pass if you rent a car

"Lovely hotel in a very quiet location."
Hotel and grounds charming. Checked in with no problem. We really enjoyed our stay here, just a couple of things to make people aware of. Parking was an issue for us, twice we got parked in by other guests. The second time, was 5.30 am when we were trying to depart (fortunately not to catch a plane). The guest in question finally came down to breakfast at 0845! No apology, but moved car. The only other minor issue was the self catering breakfast. Bit disappointing and limited choice. We also felt that as a lot of 'bread' items available involved having to take out of package and handling goods, cutting off required amount before returning to pack, which was fine if you were the first one down, but not if several people had been before you. Although they do not offer restaurant/dining facilities, they do list good, local eateries.

Acorns Guest House

Old Farm, Downside Road, Bristol - Map

"Close to Airport"
We stayed for 1 night to be close to the Airport (my daughter having already travelled for 5 hours down from Holyhead). Easy to find, sign outside says Acorns Old Farm and opposite entrance for work vehicles for the airport. You will hear the planes as you are opposite the runway but it is spotlessly clean and for £65 for a twin room through Expedia, it was a bargain. Personally, I parked my vehicle at the Premier Car Park for my holiday as I like to take my keys with me and know that where I parked, is where it will remain. Packed breakfast is as shown, so topped up at the airport whilst waiting for flight. You will get early risers for dawn flights in any hotel near the airport so suggest earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Read Hotel small print as they only take cash on arrival and add a 4% surcharge to debit and credit cards.
