"B & B in History "
A great b & b in an historic building. rooms are modeled to reflect the older parts of the house. All was spotless. As it is an airport b & b with early starts, it's continental breakfast. There is a reasonable selection with a definite help yourself. Overall, very good value for money.

"Could be better"
Stayed here many times over last 15 years. Great location. Great staff. However, duvet and pillow cases poor quality so not a great sleep. Breakfast this time also poor. Watery, tasteless poached egg and soggy toast! All above easily rectified with a little more attention to detail. Shame!

"Nice place to stay in Bristol"
Central, standard quality hotel. Good position and there's an underground car park at £16 a day, which is handy. Just roll up and check in. No complaints apart from the bizarre shortage of showers in the mens' changing rooms in the spa. There's only 2 and they have locking doors. So two fellas go in, lock the doors and the rest of us (about 7) just stand around wondering where the other showers are and how we're going to wash the chlorine off.

"Lovely country hotel with great facilities"
We were greeted warmly on arrival and were given our room keys early as we had an afternoon event to attend. This allowed us to freshen up after a three hour journey. The venue was lovely for an afternoon party and staff were very helpful. In the evening about 15 of us stayed for dinner and were accommodated in the restaurant, even though we had not pre-booked and food was brought to the table very quickly. There was another large party as well as ours and we were both quite noisy, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and we didn't feel that anyone was bothered by us (we hope not). Staff were pretty laid back and just unobtrusively worked around us keeping tables clear etc. The bedroom was large with a super huge bed and was very quiet although other guests reported some distant traffic noise, so if this would bother you ask for a room facing away from the road. I was in room 206 on the first floor and it had a nice view of a lawn. The only reason I have given four starts for facilities is because there was no mirror over the dressing table, so I had to try and dry my hair in the full length mirror on another wall, which was a bit weird. Other than that, I can't complain. BTW - the tea and coffee sachets are in a secret compartment under the cups!
