"Ideal location for visiting the university"
I stayed at the Washington with my son who was visiting the university. The location couldn't have been better to explore the university and surrounding area. We were both very happy with our stay at the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Though the hotel is a little tired around the edges is has a lot of charm, the room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. A was expecting a continental breakfast in the morning so a full cooked breakfast was a lovely surprise. I would have no hesitation booking this hotel for any future visits to Bristol.

"Walking distance to nice town area"
The hotel staff is extremely nice and responsive, they immediately looked after our requests without a problem. The only issue we had was with our bathroom sink, it was clogged and it had a bad smell. Other than that, the bathroom and bedroom were nice and spacious. The hotel in general is modern and clean. We were only there for two nights and being close to the shops and restaurants in a lovely town area was definitely a plus.

"Good location friendly staff"
Located central to Clifton and walking distance to the bay, aquarium and science center. Good comfortable rooms. Breakfast was good but be careful and little things like pancakes or cafe late are all additional charges which didn't make and sense.

"Lovely grounds"
The hotel is very clean and the food in the brasserie is good. However, service is quite slow and checking out was also slow as not enough staff were on duty - not great if you need to leave for work commitments. However I would recommend this hotel.
