Best Western Henbury Lodge Hotel

Station Rd, Bristol - Map

"Great for a short stay."
Handy position just 5 minutes off the M5. Set in the older and nicer part of Henbury (having driven through the run down district). We were visiting relatives in Bristol and it was a 20 minute and easy drive into the centre. The room was well appointed and the building has plenty of character due to it being an old manor house with plenty of history. Small bar but the 24 hour reception meant there was someone on hand to pour you a drink. The breakfast appeared over priced but there is a Toby carvery just round the corner doing an all you can eat breakfast for a little over £4. (also handy for evening meals and drinks - especially given its less than a 5 minute walk).

Wellington Terrace, Clevedon - Map

"Value hotel"
First impression was as expected, rather dark, tired reception, large dark corridors with ancient lift to upper floors, but room was clean and tidy and bar and breakfast areas were pleasant with nice views out over the Bristol Channel and down to Clevedon's Victorian pier. Overall our stay was pleasant with nothing to complain about. You get what you pay for.
