Room where really clean, but it was our wedding day and they didn’t offer any upgrades or extras that we could have or buy so but that’s the only things disappointing
Breakfast included and was very tasty Amazing shower Very clean One girl on reception was helpful but has a bit of attitude
Very Friendly Staff. Nice size room. A little old fashioned but very comfortable. Would stay there again.
Hotel was lovely and very easy to find, the only disappointing thing was the £16 charge to park in the hotels private car park..
central position to shops and theatres, close to parks and beach
Right on the ocean was awesome. Creaking floorboards were a little bit of a surprise.

While Bournemouth has plenty to offer in the way of beautiful beaches and fascinating attractions, it's also bursting at the seams with wide open spaces. Perhaps one of its most famous parks is the Lower Gardens. Originally created for the Victorians, it has been tastefully maintained and restored, keeping its old-school essence while offering a modern take on horticulture. The Lower Gardens are well worth a visit, whether you're with the family or spending some downtime with your partner. You'll find a good selection of accommodation nearby, ranging from secluded guest houses to sleek, upmarket hotels.
The Lower Gardens offer much more than just glorious greenery and brilliant blooms; they act as host to a plethora of attractions throughout the year. August sees the spectacular Candlelight Illuminations. This is a century-old tradition, in which the gardens are filled with candles and tea-lights to create a romantic, magical atmosphere. The Kids Free Fun Festival is also worth a visit and makes for a money-saving day out for those with children. Many of the hotels in the area, such as the Norfolk Hotel and the Pinedale Hotel, are family-friendly, so you'll have no problem finding somewhere to stay.
If you want to hit the beach, you'll find that the Lower Gardens offer a fabulous walk over 1.5 flower-studded miles to the shore. Many of the hotels close to the gardens, such as the Trouville and the Royal Exeter Hotel are beachside, giving you the facility to soak up some sun and top up your tan or find a shady spot under a tree and watch the world go by. In addition, there is an old-fashioned bandstand which is still in use, as well as a mini-golf course. You'll also find art exhibitions throughout the year, making it a perfect spot for those with children or those who want to soak up a bit of culture surrounded by Victorian splendour.
Bournemouth's Lower Gardens are a superb attraction and attract thousands of visitors each year. With plenty of excellent just a stone's throw away, you'll find it easy to take some time for yourself and stop and smell the flowers.
