The hotel was perfectly located for all tourist attractions, the hotel is only small with 17 rooms, therefore you got a really personal touch.
The staff ensured that our stay was perfect and nothing was too much trouble, when asking for ideas on where to eat the staff recommendations were absolutely spot on
We stayed 5 nights and the first to 2 nights were terrible! We had a room on the inner area. I have never seen a construction like this, but apparently it is common in Spain to have the rooms in a 'donut' shape with a square opening in the middle. When we opened the windows to allow for cool air (because only heat can be used in November) we could hear everything because of the echo in the inner section, along with people smoking out their windows allowed the smoke to come right to our room. The bed was a full size and very uncomfortable (it was hard and we could feel the springs). However, we explained this to the front desk and they were very kind and moved us to a room on the outer section. This was a wonderful experience. It was quiet (except that the walls are quite thin so you can hear all loud noises). We were moved to a room with 2 twin beds and it was MUCH more comfortable. We thought breakfast was included but is cost 10€ per person. We did not eat at the hotel because there was a grocery store right across the street. We purchased fruit, cheese, bread, cereal, milk, and juice and we kept it in the refrigerator that is in the rooms. I highly recommend rooms that are on the outer wall. On a side note: The first couple of days we stayed here, we did not realize the bus that goes to the main plaza (Plaza Mayor) picks up right in front of the hotel. The bus cost 1.50€ per person to ride the main plaza route and most all can be walked to from there. Well worth the cost!
Well situated right above the Barcelona Sants train station with great access to out-of-town trains and Matro. Despite its approximatity to a major station, the neighbourhood seems clean and quiet. The room itself is quite trendy in design and the bed is more than comfortable although the twin bed is a bit small. It's a good option for both leisure and business travelers.
This hotel may not be the fanciest in town however when you are paying budget prices you really do get something that is very pleasant and clean. Slightly tired decor in the budget rooms but bathroom clean and is located very nicely with most shops and restaurants within walking distance. Buffet breakfast is great value, perhaps not so much the cooked bit of it but there is plenty to fill your belly with before going out to explore Madrid. Free wifi included in the price is an nice added bonus. Overall I could not fault this hotel in any way.

South of the centre, Atocha is Madrid’s largest train station with fast trains to Andalusia and, more surprisingly, tropical gardens (with a pleasant café) in the old terminal building. The Museum of Anthropology is opposite and, over the Ronda de Atocha, the Reina Sofia art museum has benefited enormously from a bold, modern expansion. Nearby, Teatro Circo Price is a traditional circus and ideal for children.
