"A great place to stay in Brighton"
This small hotel is superb. On arrival my wife and I received a very warm welcome from David and Eric who were very helpful throughout our two day stay. Our room was modern and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked to our liking. The hotel is ideally situated on a quiet street but is just a short walk from good restaurants, pubs, busses and taxis. I would thoroughly recommend Guest and the City for an enjoyable stay in Brighton.

"Lovely chic B&B "
Found this gem of a Brighton B&B by chance when unable to find hotel for one nights stay on a very busy weekend (5/9). Very glad we did! Prime location, practically on beach and just opposite Brighton Wheel. Hosts Richard and Lorraine both lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast faultless. Can be a little noisy at night but only to be expected and ear plugs are provided should you need them, we found the noise added to the atmosphere! We left wishing we were staying longer and will most certainly be returning. Worth noting that good deals are available for mid-week stays. We would highly recommend this B&B for a lovely stay with that personal touch you would not find in a hotel.

"Impressive for last minute find"
The lady who greeted us at the hotel front door, was nice, but found her bit pushy, wanted to seem to get us into our room before we could either breath. She was abit impatient, but part from that, great stay. The hotel room was very clean, good first impression, the bed was really comfortable, clean and presentable. The bathroom was to high clean standard. But the bathroom could do with better quality towels and a few spare for a shower.

"Good location to Brighton Pier"
Experience was just below average due to the following: 1. stained carpets in room which was not attractive or welcoming; 2. extremely smallest bathroom / shower, which means you could not shower the child, as no space between shower and wall; 3. very pleasant staff: 4. very convenient to location of Pier and Sea Life; 5. unfortunately it rained everyday so it became cold and windy. 6. very small area for breakfast but good options

"A good option for a short stay."
I stayed in the Amsterdam for one night and I was very pleased with the whole experience, the room was very competitively priced and was clean and tidy when I arrived. The staff were very helpful with all my questions about the area and their parking advice was spot on. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, but I have absolutely no problems recommending the Amsterdam as a goo option if you're staying in Brighton for a weekend visit.

Nice welcome, room was fine and the bed very comfortable. Only downside was the breakfast was not particularly big or filling. I would book again without any hesitation.

Pocket Guide: East Sussex American Express Community Stadium Hotels

Home to Heritage coastlines and the stunning South Downs National Park, East Sussex is one of the United Kingdom's premier holiday destinations. Thanks to its selection of thriving towns and its proximity to London, the county is also a hub for business in the UK. Whether you're a travelling football fan keen to check out one of the country's newest stadiums, or are a professional in search of a venue for a corporate event, the American Express Community Stadium is sure to be a place of interest. Located in Falmer, just outside Brighton, visitors to the 'Amex' have plenty of hotels to choose from.

    Home to the Seagulls

The Amex's primary purpose is to serve as the home to one of the south coast's best-loved football clubs, Brighton and Hove Albion FC, aka The Seagulls. Set in the rolling hills of the Sussex Downs, the beautifully designed stadium blends into a unique landscape. It's not only football fans that benefit from Sussex's newest stadium, though. The Amex is equally suited to corporate events.

    Versatile Corporate Space

The Amex features a wide variety of versatile corporate spaces. From intimate board meetings to large banquets and parties, the stadium can cater for all manner of business-focused events.

Inside the Amex, visitors can find ten lounges, five concourses and a smattering of executive boxes. First-rate facilities include PA systems and wireless internet. The University of Sussex is next door, offering further facilities for overspill. The A27, ample parking and adjacent train station make access easy.

    Something Special for Everyone

Like any football stadium, the Amex is a special place for many people. Fittingly, it also acts as a venue for particularly special events, from weddings to private parties. The air-conditioned executive boxes offer spectacular views of the pitch - ideal for smaller events.

    Hotels near the Amex

With Brighton just down the road in one direction and the county town of Lewes in the other, visitors to the Amex are within touching distance of some of the best hotels in East Sussex. Brighton's Kemp Town offers a range of intimate and friendly B&Bs and guest houses. For something more traditional, try The White Hart Hotel on Lewes high street.
